When you're out looking for natural and scenic landscapes and your limited time wise, you always wish to have perfect and beautiful skies like I had back on the first day of summer. It's hit or miss. Sometimes the skies are perfect and other times, it's a bust. But when everything comes together, it's a gift from God. Just make sure you take a moment to enjoy it in between exposures.
There was only a 1-2 minutes when the purples exploded in the sky. I captured them and as soon as they came, they slipped back into the sky.

While wandering around Seattle, Washington on July 5,1996 I was able to catch this T800 KW for Arco Oil.
This wonderful old Alco for Chatahoochee Valley was chugging around West Point, Gorgia in July 1978. I couldn't resit getting a great series of photos of it and this is one of that series.

Back in July of 1976 I found this set of Alcos for Algeir, Winslow and Western on the loading loop at Old Ben Coal Co. in Coe, Indiana.
Here is one of Altom's fleet trucks. Their whole fleet it this amazing! I found this one a a small truck stop in Rockford,Ill on May 18, 2002.
