A woman in the crowd told Steve Finley she had a three part question. The first part involved him standing up, which he looked a little unsure about. The second part involved him taking his jacket off, which he REALLY looked unsure about. It was kind of an awkward moment until Jon Miller stood up and took off Finley's jacket for him. The third part of the question (which wasn't really a question at all) involved Finley showing his World Series ring off. I think Finley was just glad it didn't involve him taking any more articles of clothing off, ha.
Nothing against those who love them, but my worst memories come back when I pass a small town thrift store. There were few feelings I hated like going to try on an armful of clothing, only to put it all back after finding that nothing fit me. But with no other sizes to pick from, and no money to shop elsewhere, I'd usually end up taking home another reminder of being an awkward outsider. If I ever found a shirt or pair of pants that came close enough to fitting, I'd wear them as often as possible until they finally wore out. With used clothing already being halfway worn, that was always too soon. I've had a long-term animosity to clothing in general. Tall isn't a problem, and neither is thin – though if you put too much of both together, you feel like all the wrong shape in most stores. All these years later, I still struggle to find enough of what I like. I wash half the clothes I own each week, and nearly empty my closet when packing for a fortnight trip. But I've lost my old hatred of the mirror, and that's a freedom I'm glad to call my own.

Some friends wanted to do a mock Christmas card and I volunteered to photograph it. It only took us about a half hour to setup, tear-down, and get a handful of appropriately disturbing photos.
Lighting Info: One Vivitar 285HV flash with 1/4 CTO gel in an umbrella high camera right. Slow shutter speed (1/8") to burn in the lights from the tree.

They came home as I was in their garden taking pictures of their artwork. #Awkward.

This is the morning after my host dad's parents, specifically his dad, drilled me the night before in a Northern dialect of Japanese about WWII, and I sat there dealing. Host gramma was too shy and simply obeyed host grampa's orders, like "bring the food!" or "come over here for a picture!"
A very different experience from my host family. Age gaps are huge things in Japan, apparently.

I guess that the awkward turtle is very popular around the Rice campus so Danya and others introduced Occidental to the guesture. Whenever something awkward happens you're supposed to do it inconspicuously to further awkwardify things. Laylee clearly does a good job of that.
As I was putting together my Monster High/Novi Star hybrids, I realized I had a bunch of leftover parts. So I did this.
I wanted to get evidence of these awful things before I get rid of them. They take up so much space, but they're so funny and awkward I just had to get some pictures of them xD
