Birch Spoon
Flaxseed Oil Finish
This was meant to be a small camping/pocket spoon from the start. I put a rather large bowl on it and just kept working towards the small spoon. It wasn't until I took off half of the handle, that I realized that I had the makings of a fairly decent regular handled spoon right up to the point, where I sawed half of it away. I was left with an extremely awkward looking spoon.
Sometimes it is important to look at the entire piece during the process, to decide where you will end up rather than blindly insisting that am carving a pocket spoon despite what the spoon is telling me.

after a lovely Christmas dinner, we wandered along for a Christmas cocktail at Miss Wong, on The Lane in Siem Reap.
