"Look at the awakening of spring and the dawn! The beauty is revealed to those who look."

Khalil Gibran

Thanks for viewing, much appreciated!

Even in the forest you can find these small islands of flowers, which once again indicate the awakening of nature.

Selbst im Wald findet man diese kleinen Blumeninseln, die nochmal das erwachen der Natur anzeigen.

"Hocus, pocus," said the Crocus ;)

Each day in Spring is a new awakening!

Today we went to Nymans (National Trust) for lunch and a wander.

The gardens were so lovely and colourful and I took loads of pics, but have gone with this shoot through for my daily pic

I do love trying to do shoot throughs, which are a bit more tricky with a macro lens and a strong breeze. The biggest problem is finding foreground and background blooms with not much distance between the two.

Feels like Fire

Dreams are like angels

They keep bad at bay

Love is the light

Scaring darkness away

Make love your goal

The power of love

A force from above

Cleaning my soul

Flame on burn desire

Love with tongues of fire

Purge the soul

Make love your goal

I'll protect you from the hooded claw

Keep the vampires from your door

When the chips are down I'll be around

With my undying death-defying love for you

Envy will hurt itself

Let yourself be beautiful

Sparkling light, flowers and pearls and pretty girls

Love is like an energy

Rushing in, rushing inside of me

we were still on the road at about 1:30 am in the small hours after a day and night of driving around the beautiful Lofoten islands, when the sun started rising again and we saw this scenario in the typical twilight of Arctic summer

How can you prove whether at this moment we are sleeping, and all our thoughts are a dream; or whether we are awake, and talking to one another in the waking state?

The first ones in our own garden. Welcome my friends!

Sakrisoy waking up around 4:30am on the Lofoten. Those villages in Northern Norway are just such a pretty sight and their lights certainly help to beat any seasonal blues :)

Along the Barrier Dunes on the Southern Outer Banks. Thank you for your comments and faves. They are much appreciated.

The sun breaking over the trees the lake is calm this is the awakening.

This is from the same location as my "lost in time" picture, but taken in early March and facing west, whereas the other picture is facing east, and obviously a lot more light. I watched the rest of the sunrise while driving on to Boise. This is off UD-95 a mile or two above the Idaho commercial truck scale. I had spent a very quiet night there, no other trucks all night.

I'm a nightowl, always have been. A good book, conversation or movie can keep me up to 2am easily. But every 4 months or so work has reason to get me out of bed at 4 or 5 am, I hate it! And then a morning like that one comes along, this shot was taken down the road from where I live at 7 am after one of my early starts and it makes me question everything. Not least all those walks I might be missing.
