I have been meaning to visit here during Autumn for many years but until last week, I have never made it. After searching for a parking space I took my tripod out for some long exposures.

Happy Fence Friday everyone

Took Mabel on a lovely unusually warm November walk today and caught some great images on our walk, the light was beautiful and the colours wonderful. I was using my new 50mm 1.2 lens which can capture the most stunning bokeh wide open at f/1.2. At that aperture and being a manual lens you need a steady hand so even with little Mabel tugging on her lead I think I caught some pretty good images and dreamy bokeh. Have a great weekend.

…. and let the fairy in you fly!

Autumn in the Netherlands is a beautifully atmospheric time. The country transforms into a palette of warm colors, with the trees along canals, in parks, and forests showing off rich shades of red, orange, and yellow. The weather tends to be a mix of misty mornings, occasional rainfall, and brisk breezes, creating a cozy ambiance perfect for wandering the picturesque towns and countryside.

Gelukkig was ik voor de storm aan de wandel gegaan en heb ik nog mooie herfstkleuren kunnen vangen.

Fortunately, I went for a walk before the storm and was able to catch some beautiful autumn colors.

A Walk to Remember

There's something magical about walking through the woods in autumn. The air is crisp, carrying the earthy scent of damp soil and fallen leaves. The path ahead is a canvas of golds, reds, and oranges, each step a soft crunch on the vibrant, seasonal carpet. It's a time for quiet reflection, for pulling on a warm jacket and just being present in the moment.

My first outing on foot in 11 months.... it's a very slow recovery... but a massive milestone for me.
