Elinda is professionally recognised as one of the finest MFV conversions in Scotland and was done so primarily as a live aboard. Built by the famous Nobles Yard in Fraserburgh, she is much admired and recognised in the Hebrides where her current owners use her most. She underwent a refit in 2007 and updated much since then. A piece of Scotland's marine history!

GENERAL INFORMATION
She is heavily built of pitch pine on oak and was substantially upgraded and refitted in 2006/2007 when purchased by her current owners.
She is easily handled by two and very often cruises single handedly. Her fuel consumption is frugal. She perfectly fits the bill for either weekends or for extended and comfortable cruises. Elinda is a piece of Scotland’s maritime history.

The aft bay, holding the autopilot (middle), ESC, BEC, and control radio receiver (bottom/front). The ESC (in the upper-right) is a Castle ICE 75 Lite, with a 5 A supply for the avionics. This proved inadequate for the elevon servos (which I measured drawing over 8 A in the worst case), so I added a Castle BEC (in the upper-left), capable of supplying 20 A. All the avionics run off the BEC, and the ESC is just for the motor.

In early September 2019 the first shipments of the long awaited Tesla Model 3 autonomous electric vehicle began arriving in Australia.
All Tesla cars come standard with auto pilot, full self-driving capability and driver assistance features such as emergency braking, collision warning and blind-spot monitoring.
With the next software update, the cars will recognise and respond on autopilot to speed signs, traffic lights and stop signs. A number of other autonomous features will also be available by the end of 2019.
This white Tesla 3 Performance, pictured above is my sons car. He picked it up in Sydney on September 28 2019. Apparently if he had not been there at the pre-arranged time the car would have been allocated to someone else and he would have gone back on the waiting list.
Today Boxing Day 2019 I had my first opportunity to drive this amazing vehicle. Apart from being whisper quiet the technology is unbelievable and the acceleration from 0 to 100km hour in 3.4 seconds is breathtaking.
The standard car with various options he had ordered was unavailable on the day so Tesla upgraded him free of charge to a Performance Long Range vehicle. His car had been ordered well over 3 years previous to the delivery and his great patience has been rewarded with an amazingly sleek and seriously impressive and in the end, upgraded vehicle.
The stylishly sleek low profile Standard Tesla Model 3 has a battery range of 460km (real life more like 350km), a top speed of 225kph and at 5.6 seconds 0 to 100km it has scary acceleration that throws you back hard against the seat.
The Standard Model 3 will retail for Au$67,900.
There are two other models being made available in Australia.
Long Range Standard (620km -233kph-4.6 seconds) (Au$85,900)
Performance (560km - 233kph-3.4 seconds) (Au$92,900)
When one gets into the car the first thing you notice, apart from the comfort of the seats and the sleek tinted glass roof, is the total simplicity of the dash. There is no instrumentation on the dashboard, just a large computer screen which literally does everything. It allows you to conveniently update the cars autonomous and standard driving mode software, make phone calls, use maps and play music. I'm not sure yet but its probably set up for voice command also.
Charging is carried out at Tesla's rapidly expanding network of Australian charging stations or at home through an adapted power point.
Recently I saw that the Tesla Model 3 has become the top selling car in the Netherlands.
It will be interesting to see how rapid its adoption will be in Australia given Australian's record as a world leader in transitioning to new technologies.
It will not be a surprise if the takeup is quite fast, despite our current federal governments best efforts to dampen down all enthusiasm for anything not powered by fossil fuels.
The Tesla Version 10 Update was released on 26th September 2019

This flight pattern was typical of our attempts to lock the autopilot in during high-wind conditions. The dark spot in the bottom right of the figure is the hangar at Oliktok Point and its shadow, and the diagonal linear feature is the runway.
In October 2014, ARM funded a team from the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) to operate a small, lightweight unmanned aircraft called "DataHawk." This was in support of the Coordinated Observations of the Arctic Lower Atmosphere (COALA) field campaign hosted at Oliktok Point in order to measure heat and moisture fluxes between the Earth's surface and lower atmosphere.

Nebel:

autopilot v2 1/4" with accuair 5 gal aluminum tank, az compressor, 16" wheels.
from: bagriders.com/modlab/products/MK5-GOLF-AND-GTI-AIR-RIDE-K...
This is my Funjet. I installed a Attopilot autopilot, now it's a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). This picture was taken after it's first successful UAV flight. Sept. 7, 2009. Well, it wasn't really much of a mission, it flew in a circle over the spot that it started from, and continued in that pattern indefinitely, staying at a predetermined height, speed, and radius of circle. It didn't really go to waypoints.
But later I sent it on missions of several miles. And I put a small video camera in the wing. if you want to see a video taken from the plane, on one of these missions go look on Youtube, search for "UAV flies to Steves house" . I sent it on a mission to my friend's house.
Now in year 2015, I haven't flown it for a few years, I've been flying a quad copter instead.
