Soundwave has taken over the LEGO City energy plant! So Optimus Prime has sent in the heroic Autobot Bumblebee to lend a hand to any humans in the area.

Bumblebee is articulated at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. His car mode carries one minifigure and features his classic G1 "Penny Racer" proportions.

Here are all 5 autobots together from Age of Extinction and I don't really have time to show them off in vehicle mode

hahaha.....

G Liner's very unique Facelift

Everyone except Sludge is an original. I eventually want to fill the background with a Teletraan 1 papercraft diorama and have Ratchet attending to Kup on the medical bed :-)

Note that Jetfire is missing one of his antennae and there's some other accessories I don't have but I like the yellowed and broken ones: I love a bit of BATTLE DAMAGE! (As long as it's not TOO much damage...) I'm not one for keeping toys mint in the box; give me some scars and some history! It adds character imo.

I appreciate the Transformers series, so I gave myself an initial goal of making the faction symbols (essentially, autobots = good guys; decepticons = bad guys) in origami. The two symbols seem based on 22.5° angles, but boxpleating allows a good approximation. Still, I was forced to make some modifications to the two symbols to make them foldable.

Bumblebee has his hands full taking on Soundwave and Starscream, so the heroic Autobot Jazz has come to the rescue!

Jazz is articulated at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. His car mode carries one minifigure and uses building techniques from several Speed Champions sets for maximum sports car flavor (and it easily accommodates repro-decals for the actual G1 Jazz toy).

AutoBAT custom using the head from the '86 BAT, torso from Night Creeper, and arms and legs from Sonic Fighters Zap.

The concept here is that the Joes create new androids based on their alliance with the Autobots.

Introducing G1 Bumblebee (V2)! I completely redesigned my V1 model as I wanted to improve both VW Beetle mode and robot mode. I feel like this Beetle mode is more accurate and has much better shaping than my previous effort. Robot mode is also significantly more robust and G1 looking than before. As with V1, Bee can transform from VW Beetle to brave Autobot scout without adding or removing any parts. He can also fit one Minifigure in vehicle mode. I've built this guy in real bricks, but the Stud.io rendering is better than my camera's pictures. Enjoy!

I've never been great at building cars, but I like how this turned out. I think I need to build Bumblebee and Cliffjumper now.

a factory tour after the Model S drive on the track.

This one installs the laminated glass roof.

It's amazing how much brighter the factory looks after the floor has been epoxied white, just like they have at SpaceX... and Ironman =)

Masterpiece Optimus Prime and the Brain of Courage are arguably the greatest Autobot commanders in the history of ever, so why not take a shot of both of them?

G1 and Masterpiece, my favorite Autobot based solely on his super cool vehicle mode.

When this came steaming out of the sand, encrusted with burnt motor oil, it looked and smelled like grim interstellar war.
