Oil is brought in procession and donated worldwide to be blessed. The oil lamp is replaced and the new oil is placed within it and lit for the new year of blessed oil. It is then distributed worldwide. This is the authentic blessed oil of St. Philomena.

A local vendor, clad in a patterned short-sleeve shirt and a dark cap, attentively tends to an impressive spread of char-grilled meats resting over glowing embers. Large, succulent cuts of beef, golden-brown butterflied chicken, and plump chorizos sizzle loudly on the blackened metal grate, showcasing the cornerstone of Argentina's culinary heritage. The photograph is captured under harsh, natural midday sunlight, creating high-contrast scenes where dappled shadows from a nearby tree dance across the concrete sidewalk and the vendor's workspace. Any restaurant claiming to be "authentic" automatically makes me suspicious. This Cuban Cafe was in Winter Park, and given Florida's proximity to the island, I wouldn't doubt much.
