Brush on the left is a fake brush purchased from j.jhimford on Ebay. Brush on the right is an authentic Nars brush purchased from Sephora.
The fake brush has thinner bristles that spread out much easier when pressure is applied. The authentic brush maintains its shape under pressure.

The museum showcases traditional Romanian village life.
The museum extends to over 100,000 m2, and contains 123 authentic peasant settlements, 363 monuments and over 50,000 artefacts from around Romania
Structures in the museum ranged from the 17th to the 20th century, representative of different ethnographic regions including Banat, Transylvania, Moldavia, Maramures, Oltenia, Dobrogea, Muntenia.
The village was a creation of the folklorist and sociologist Dimitrie Gusti.
The location plans were executed by the writer, playwright, director Victor Ion Popa and set designer Henri H. Stahl.
The necessary financial funds were provided by the Royal Cultural Foundation and in the presence of King Carol II of Romania the museum was inaugurated on 10 May 1936
At the time of its inauguration, it was the fourth open-air museum of Europe after Skansen (Stockholm, Sweden), Norsk Folkemuseum at Bygdøy (Oslo, Norway), and the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania at Hoia Forest in Cluj-Napoca.
The museum initially was 4.5 ha in size with 33 authentic settlements that were transferred from the researched villages.
Among them was the Maramures wooden church from Dragomirești, Maramures county.
The building remains the central piece and is incorporated into the logo of the museum.
The blur and bokeh are all optical, not PS. I used two off-camera flashes and the Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kit. The heart-shaped bokeh is created by the aperture insert and a string light behind the open door in the background.
Ostensibly comes off a M70 Winchester, albeit it seems to be an authentic specimen of the one designed for the M1 Garand and M14, once upon a time supposedly also used with optically assisted versions of the old bolt gun M1903 and '03A3.
I suspect the 1958 date is accurate and correct.

Baisha Ancient Town
Out with the old and authentic, in with the new and fake. Not that I expect people to keep on living in the Middle Ages, but the Chinese tend to make everything very tacky and kitsch. I expect this to turn into another one of these villages where you cannot see anything beyond the souvenir shops selling plastic Buddhas and fake antiques.
Baisha Ancient Town is one of the oldest zones in the city of Lijiang. It got its name of “Baisha,” meaning “white sand,” from the typical natural white sand in the area. Baisha was the cradle of the Tusi Dynasty which evolved from the Mu clan, and was also the earliest settlement of the Naxi people. To be found today are many ancient constructions that were originally built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), for example, Dabaoji Palace, Liuli Temple, and Wenchang Palace. The well-known Baisha Frescoes can be seen in Dabaoji Palace.

This house is really cool, but way too gloomy, dark and cavernous for my taste. Of course, this type of construction was ideal for keeping cool in the summer and warm in the winter in the pre-modern age. Now that we enjoy the benefits of HVAC, insulation and such, better to have a house which embraces the glorious sun one lives in Tucson to enjoy.. Still a really cool house though...
