The Wild Pacific Trail is just as it sounds, on the Pacific and wild. Wild, as in hiking or trekking in BC's Vancouver Island.
The image uses HDR techniques, meaning I combined three frames of different exposures and blended them. Also, I used f10, so most everything is in focus.
I love trail shots for the sense it creates of going somewhere and, a natural desire to know what's just around the corner. This trail, in particular, is especially good for that; it has hundreds of turnouts that open on amazing views of the pacific.
When we are happy we’ll do all kinds of things. I am reminded of my little dog who, when he gets happy, puts on all kinds of antics. We are very similar in that respect, when we feel a flow of energy things are good. This is a metaphorical Monday morning cartwheel to get us through the week. More on the blog at goo.gl/RrliJX

A second shot from today's photo walk between rain storms. This track just draws me in and makes me wonder what's around the corner.

A landslide occurred in the vicinity of the Buðarárfoss waterfall several months prior to my visit and was the result of heavy rains which saturated the ground.
10 building in the vicinity of Buðarárfoss were destroyed.
When I think of colors and Miami, I think of pastels. Pastel colors on the art-deco walls of South Beach. I believe these natural hues are what inspire that aesthetic.
I took this from the top deck of the ship in the port of Miami. I had already been up several hours to capture the inaugural docking of Symphony of the Seas. Now we were having breakfast and walking back to our cabin for the final time. We were ready after 12 days at sea. It was nice to be home, but it was also sad to leave.
Many of these high-rise apartment buildings are empty during the summer. They are vacation homes for people who come down in winter. Once, during summer, I stayed in a hi-rise hotel right downtown. At night I looked out from the thirty-first floor and, all I could see was empty, dark apartments. Now that it’s winter they’re all lit up and full of color.

Australasian Swamphen
I have struggled to find the motivation to get out and take photos in the Current Victorian Lockdown 6.0, part of that is because clearly, we can't go to many places (due to the 5km limit, and nighttime curfew) so I have slowed down taking photos. That said I decided when going for a walk for exercise to take my camera and capture some photos just around my neighborhood. The image below is of an Australasian Swamphen which is a subspecies of the Purple Swamphen which was hanging around a lake just around the corner from my house. The image was captured in late August 2021 and was captured with a Sony A7R IV and a Tamron E 70-30mm (@300mm). Camera settings were 1/800 sec, f/6.3, ISO 1600. The image was edited in Lightroom, Aurora HDR, Topaz Denoise AI, and Topaz Sharpen AI.
