Aufnahme zeigt ein Abschnitt eines Waldbrandes nahe Šibenik, Kroatien. Auffallend orange waren die Bläter und bildeten einen feurigen Kontrast zu den umgebenden Steinmauern und dem grauen Himmel.

If I lived in a pasture, I'd spend most of the summer sitting under the shade of an oak, and that's no bull.

I took this on a drive through the country here in Florida. Contrary to popular belief, most of the state is agriculture. All you have to do is drive from one coast to the other to see what I mean. The drive takes about two hours and passes through a lot of cattle country. It's no wonder rodeos are big here.

I'm an indoor weeny, depending on air conditioning to make it through the summer. If you lose your air-conditioning here, you may as well live on Mars or, under a tree.

The other night we hung out in a tree-lined park with outdoor cafes and listened to live music by candlelight. And to top it off, we were a thousand miles from land.

The Symphony of the Seas has six neighborhoods, and Central Park is my favorite. There are upscale restaurants with outdoor seating. At one end is Vintages, a wine bar where somehow, I end up at least once a day. In the afternoon, there might be one or two patrons, and you can sit at an outdoor table, and watch folks stroll by.

There are way too many choices; neighborhoods, restaurants, nightclubs, sports, shopping, and bars. Speaking of which; there are at least sixteen different bars, and I had a plan to try each one. I'm only halfway through, and it's not looking like I'll hit the goal. But rest assured, it's not for lack of trying.

The Viewing Floor in the Switch House gives some rather spectacular views - including into some rather expensive flats right next door! - and the new One Blackfriars tower dominates the nearby skyline as the sun sets behind it.

The Wild Pacific Trail is just as it sounds, on the Pacific and wild. Wild, as in hiking or trekking in BC's Vancouver Island.

The image uses HDR techniques, meaning I combined three frames of different exposures and blended them. Also, I used f10, so most everything is in focus.

I love trail shots for the sense it creates of going somewhere and, a natural desire to know what's just around the corner. This trail, in particular, is especially good for that; it has hundreds of turnouts that open on amazing views of the pacific.

When we are happy we’ll do all kinds of things. I am reminded of my little dog who, when he gets happy, puts on all kinds of antics. We are very similar in that respect, when we feel a flow of energy things are good. This is a metaphorical Monday morning cartwheel to get us through the week. More on the blog at goo.gl/RrliJX
