The Hintertux Glacier ski area at the south end of the Zillertal valley, Austria

Here's a shot from inside the restored train station in downtown Chattanooga. The station isn't operational; it's now a historical spot for music and arts. There are a few old trains at the station converted to shops, restaurants, and a hotel.

The Frothy Monkey that I posted about the other day is just to the right. We just finished lunch, and I was waiting for the valet to return the car when I took this photo. The little choo-choo motif on the right seals the deal for me.

The whole time I was here, I couldn't stop humming the old Andrews Sisters song (youtu.be/FdrYYUuT07Q). I wonder if you can still catch a train to Tennessee from Track 29 at Penn station. I doubt it, but it would be cool if you could.

Homing in on the target

A weekend at Orchard Cottage, Edwardstone, Suffolk.

The drive here was meant to be an hour and a quarter but that expanded to an hour and three quarters - not really life and death but why can't our road system work.

The cottage is beautiful (pictures to follow) and our walk around the grounds encountered the Duck House (or pump covers).

Pub dinner at The White Horse followed by an hour in front of a log fire and then bed - Heaven

When strolling through Pioneer Square, the oldest neighborhood in Seattle, you might notice some brightly colored pavement windows. Below these windows is the dark underworld of the original 1900s Seattle. The discoloration of the glass owes to the unique manufacturing process and constant UV exposure over time, rendering the glass translucent.
