I recently dropped by the “Trail Blazer” mural being worked on by artist Wendy Popko. She was quite busy, since the deadline in coming up in 2 weeks to finish. We had chatted earlier about the mural, that was commissioned by the city of Sterling Heights. It will be a very unique mural using AR - Augmented Reality, that will allow you to use an app on your cellphone to watch the mural come alive with movement. Start in Albert Park and head to the Suva waterfront and walk along the seawall overlooking the Suva harbor.

Augmented reality is getting more and more accessible with origami pixels. :-)

It took a lot of efforts to take this picture, as there was _a lot_ of wind yesterday. I used my big rolling trashbin to shield the paper flower from the wind, and I was laying on the pavement, waiting for the wind to slow for a second so that I could take the picture. :-)

This was an experiment with Google's fun new ability to see a menagerie of animals in 3D in your own space via Augmented Reality) On your phone, use Google to search for Pug, or Tiger, and you should have the option to view a life-sized 3D model.

This is the pug, who I placed in my living room. I was impressed at how Google adjusted the lighting on the little dog to account for the backlight from the window. I brought it into Luminar to edit to play with lighting and shadows a bit, and converted to monochrome.

Only 30 minutes from Suva city is a nice park with waterfalls and swimming holes. Lots of great places for a picnic and beautiful wild flowers to greet you as you walk on the trails.
