A mirror-like surface of the Kennet and Avon Canal wasn’t disturbed around this narrowboat peacefully gliding on the surface of a water. These two images had a little story to tell. I have spotted this boat earlier and moved around the canal bend that offered a better background. A young chap in spotting me with a camera pointed in their direction has climbed the top and moved forwards with a glass of sherry. After I finished my “shooting session” he moved back to the rare of the boat and we waved to each other with smiles.

The Kennet & Avon Canal runs for 87 miles from the centre of Bath to Reading connecting the Bristol channel, river Avon and the river Thames, important navigation route in the past before railways, now popular tourist attraction, both on the water and alongside with miles of walks and cycling routes. A view of the front of this mini empire. It includes a store, a tour of the house in the rock, a tiny zoo, and a gift shop... and a bust of FDR carved into the rock... so much going on here (note the jeep on top of the rock)!

Osoyoos, BC has no shortage of beautiful attractions and iconic art pieces to enjoy while exploring the area. This bright, beautiful mural adorns the side of the Pioneer Car Wash building. Created by Mavik, the vintage styling and very Osoyoos-specific imagery contained in each of the letters beautifully capture the sun-soaked vibes of this beachside resort town.

Oh what a beautiful day, Bee Excited.

...the East and the West may embrace each other like unto two lovers...

This colorful flower should have no problem attracting bees. Shot taken in early morning, when the bees were probably still sleeping!

The turquoise water of Emerald Lake makes it one of the most beautiful attractions in Canada

The UK coal mines closed in the late 1980s and some are now visitor attractions this one in Yorkshire.

This is George's — Adam and Cashe's son's little tike — which is parked up in different and sometimes unlikely places every time i visit to drop off logs, or Rob's dogs for treatment.

Over these past few months this courtyard has begun to manifest the shared visions of everyone at Babbinswood, whose Matriarch is Barbara — Adam's mum and Rob's dogs' brilliant Vet.

It's going to be a popular attraction once Lockdown's finished, and already gets regular Saturday visit's to the micro-bakery, and the cafe which sells organic meat, yogurt, cheese and unpasteurised full cream Milk — which is to die for ;-)

On the right there, is the open door to Sara's studio where she paints with loose and indefinably expert strokes, living and departed dogs, horses and other pets and animals to earn a modest living. She also weaves fantastic, organic looking baskets too that incorporate twisty found twigs, among her many other talents.

Hope to share more soon. For now, there are a few pics in the Babbinswood album.

Enjoy the day :-)

Off now, late to feed and walk the dogs, and later to drop off more logs to this wonderful place full of happy people. Hope I'm back in time and have the energy to put this pic in just a few groups. I've learnt my own little lesson: too many groups, and I can't participate. Cheers for now. ®

(PS. that artifact-looking thing just above the roof of George's car is very high cloud. I thought it was an HDR artefact, but it's on every bracket)

"Due to its choice habitat of warm ponds, streams, or hot springs, flame skimmers are found mainly in the southwestern part of the United States. They also make their homes in public gardens or backyards." Well, we must have other attractions for this large dragonfly. This one seemed to like the idea of fitting in having perched just above an orange algae bloom.

Yesterday, I tried an old location to find any Odonata, any one of the streams that crisscross Castle Rock Park at the base of Mt. Diablo. Unfortunately, this large park and the mountain itself are bone dry. Reports are that coastal areas are "normal," and so that's my destination in about a half hour.

Tourists are everywhere at the Treasury (Al-Khzneh).

Treasury is behind the Camera!!

The Treasury (Al-Khazna). A vast structure and magnificent architecture are Petra's main site attractions.

Established possibly as early as 312 BC as the capital city of the Nabataeans, it is a symbol of Jordan, as well as Jordan's most-visited tourist attraction. It lies on the slope of Jebel al-Madhbah (identified by some as the biblical Mount Hor in a basin among the mountains that form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. It is believed that Petra was home to roughly 30,000 people and was abandoned in the year 106 A.D. Site has been a UNESCO World Heritage since 1985.

Gorgeous, colorful and beautiful...that's exactly what you see when you come across one of these magnificent Monarch Butterflies. This guy is attracted to and gathering energy from the Milkweed Plant of which they are born from.

Early morning view of the Reichstag Berlin now the second most visited attraction in Germany as seen from Marschall Bridge.

One of Savannah’s most beloved attractions is Forsyth Park. Among the park’s abundant greenery is the dense urban forest of gnarled live oaks draped with Spanish moss. The old Oak trees are as iconic to the city of Savannah as its man-made historic treasures.

Since the early 19th century, Savannah planted out trees in its streets and squares to provide shade in the summer and beauty the year round, earning it the title of “The Forest City.” Today, its arching live oaks, swathed with picturesquely gothic drapes of Spanish moss, are one of the city’s most charming and typical sights.

We had to stop and snap some shots of this roadside attraction. Someone left it parked at a trailhead near Las Cruces, NM.

Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada. The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago. These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays.[5] It is Nevada's oldest state park, as commemorated with Nevada Historical Marker #150. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.

Valley of Fire is located 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Las Vegas.

Whenever we visit the arboretum, we always hope to see the Great Egret at some point. This time, it was hunting across the way from us, the entire time we were there. Occasionally moving from spot to spot, for a change of hunting grounds.

Most of the time the Egret was hunting in the marshy area, the Canada Geese were not too far off. Maybe they were hoping the Egret would stir up some food for them, too.

One "new" point of interest this time was a handful of birds zooming back and forth just above the surface of the lake, seemingly hawking for insects. We couldn't tell if they were actually catching anything because they were so fast.

I tried get some shots of them, but everything was a blur. However, one did swoop by as I took this shot of the Egret. From what I can tell, this might be a Chimney Swift, per its actions and shape of the wings. If so, then this is a new bird for my Life List!
