These 2 elevators take visitors on a 7-story time travel - once you arrive at the top you cannot look down anymore as the view is blocked by the tensile structures. The elevators have a sound track to enhance the feeling of going back in time, starting with today's traffic sounds and ending with the sounds of horse-drawn carriages coming by.
actually this is the ground floor looking up through the 5 story atrium windows in the science building at Smith College.
This is how you ensure that everyone in the building has natural lighting. The spiral staircase was the inspiration for the Scala logo.
