Groups of people are gathered around various reenactors who are talking about life in the Civil War. The crowds were constant all day and we were extrememly busy talking history to people and explaining our various displays.
Before it became an art gallery, this building had been the U.S. Patent Office at the time of the Civil War.
Reclaimed water drips from the ceiling to the stone below, setting an atmosphere of serenity and peace.

During the time that i took this and other shots, i spotted 3 photographers, who like me, were entranced by the beauty of it all: the sculpture with its own window of opportunity, the fountain, the water sprays, the reflective pool, the light, did i mention, the light!!
