The Atrium of the Dorset Hotel. This ex cinema, which once had a V1 doodlebug smash into the walls and not explode (if you are to believe the Open House guide!) has been lavishly yet sensitively redeveloped and the interior is what can only be called modern art deco. The picture is taken looking up from the cocktail bar.

Middlie of the builing the hallway opened up through all floors to a sunlight atthe top. While it did make the hallways lighter during the day it also helped to create a bit of an echo chamber.
The enormous atrium at The Gaylord National at National Harbor in Maryland, just outside of VA and D.C.
Being that I used to work there, I was still able to go up on the roof, "catwalks", etc. where the general public isn't allowed. I got this shot somewhere halfway up the 19 stories of this behemoth.
