Day 27, Pacific Ocean, Crossing the Equator.
Also the first day of February, Sunrise at the equator is always close to 06:00, with sunset being close to 18:00. It is as close to a 12 hour daylight and 12 hour nigh time as you get, with small differences due to the tilt of the spin of our globe compared to the orbit plane around the sun.

This is probably my favourite people shot of the year. My patience paid off, and everything came together - the light, the colour, the subject, the gesture, the expression, the shapes, everything.
I think this qualifies as "street" photography, doesn't it?

U.S.A. Navy's Blue Angels, based in Pensacola, Florida, got bright
new airplanes for the 2021 air show season: F/A-18 Super Hornets. They're bigger, faster and louder than the F/A-18 Hornets they're replacing. The Blue Angels are scheduled to perform 53 flight demonstrations this year at 28 locations across the United States and Canada, the Navy says. The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the precision and professionalism of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach. They travel with seven jets. Truly amazing to see!

This man was quite literally stuck. He heaved forward while a colleague tugged at the front. This was not far away from the fresh fruit market. It was an area of large roads with narrow alleys leading off. Along which where a multitude of shops and stalls that sold all manner of goods. We were given free rein to wander around. So I took full use of the time given.
Day 97, Port 33, Country 17; Mumbai, India: CMV World Cruise
Our second stop was inside the main fruit and veg market. A fairly bustling place. Alleyways where narrow in places and goods coming in where moved by human power. Each man had a porter number and work was rotated through the numbers trying to give a fair use of their manpower.
PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 3, 2021) The United Kingdom’s carrier strike group led by HMS Queen Elizabeth (R 08), and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forces led by Hyuga-class helicopter destroyer JS Ise (DDH 182) join with U.S. Navy carrier strike groups led by flagships USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) to conduct multiple carrier strike group operations in the Philippine Sea. The integrated at-sea operations brought together more than 15,000 Sailors across six nations, and demonstrates the U.S. Navy’s ability to work closely with its unmatched network of alliances and partnerships in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. Denmark was a pioneer in developing commercial wind power during the 1970s, and today a substantial share of the wind turbines around the world are produced by Danish manufacturers such as Vestas—the world's largest wind-turbine manufacturer—along with many component suppliers. Furthermore, Denmark has—as of 2022—the 2nd highest amount in the world of wind power generation capacity installed per capita, behind only neighboring Sweden.
In 2020, wind power produced 56% of total electricity generation in Denmark, up from 20% in 2010 and 11% in 2000. This contributes to the government's target of 100% renewable power generation by 2030.
Denmark had the 4th best energy architecture performance in the world in 2017 according to the World Economic Forum, and the second best energy security in the world in 2019 according to the World Energy Council.

Day 15, Aruba:
That evening after sailing away from Aruba we where given a great display of a full moon. In fact it was going to be a total eclipse. we sailed through the pathway of the eclipse. I was able to capture images of each faze up to the near total eclipse. I was unable to get an image of the total eclipse as I needed a stable platform for long exposure shots. the ship rocked slowly so speeds of less than 1/60 where impossible. still it was great watching as the mood was fully occluded at about 01:00 in the morning.
Curved carpets and ceilings lead to the main theatre on the Disney Magic. Classic image of Walt adorning the wall.
This follows on from yesterday's image, showing the units of the First Sea Battalion of the Royal Brunei Malay Regiment forming-up on the Royal Yach Britannia on 29 February 1972.
In the image, Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia, also known as the Royal Yacht Britannia, is on her approach to Muara Port. The coastal and river patrol boats are joining up with her for a ceremonial entry to the port. They've left their joining-up quite late... Six boats are visible behind the Royal Yacht - eventually there would be seven, close-up, properly spaced and running much more sedately.
The vessel in the foreground is clearly marked on the stern as AMDB 117 but I've been unable to find out any details about her or any of the other Bruneian vessels. AMDB is an abbreviation of Askar Melayu DiRaja Brunei, which is the Royal Brunei Malay Regiment in Malay.
Following a 2023 feature of some of these photos in Aman Samudera, the Royal Brunei Navy's in-house magazine, I now know the units seen in the chase above are: KDB Pahlawan (AMDB 100), the first unit of the Brunei Navy, KDB Saleha and KDB Masna (Saleha class) and KDB Bendahara, KDB Maharajalela and KDB Kermaindera (all Bendahara class).
The image was taken from aboard a helicopter by an RAF pilot relative who had been working on secondment in the country for several years. Scanned from a slide.
