This photo was taken at about 12 in the afternoon. My source of light was the sun so it wasn't close to her. It was shining on half of her face from the left side (from her point of view) and the rest of her face was in the shade. I think that the feeling of this photo is kind of mysterious because half of her face is dark but the other half is well lit.

DPS assignment Composition: Get Down

Assignment 3 After (I added more red, and green hues, changed the color saturation to enhance the red, upped the contrast and brightness.)

A cold, grey day, lots of gas been used.

It was such a beautiful day here, a real spring day in winter time. I saw the first spring flower coming out so I just wanted to capture this special time of the year in two different ways. Even with under exposition , I wanted to keep the flower as bright as I could, and in contrast, with the overexposed picture I chose a dead stem . They were physically very close to each other. Feeling of an endlessly repetitive cycle.

The above shot was taken with a Motorola KRZR K1m. The first shots I took were with normal color settings, but I thought the image looked much more interesting with the color set to negative.

I took this of the Pioneer Center downtown Reno. I cropped it so that it was just the pattern. I changed it in Lightroom to make it pop more and look metallic by doing -64 black lessening the exposure and adding a little contrast and white. I thought the first image was good but when I played with it in LR I liked how it bronzed it up.

For this particular assignment I had to get help from a friend who is a professional photographer for a local magazine. With him, I was able to capture some of these great images in the different lighting effects (front, side, back (2), overhead and bottom) The quality of the image was compromised due to the way he had to send it to me (WhatsApp)

I superimposed the golf ball in place of one of the apples. I omitted the stems from all the apples and the seed from the apple in front.
