Some Assembly Required - SS Dominator ran aground on March 13, 1961 near Palos Verdes, California. Carrying a load of wheat and beef from Vancouver, B.C, the vessel was trapped by the current after coming too close to the cliffs.

The Assembly Hall, taking it's name from the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. It is located at 156 Collins Street, next to the Scot's Church, and was completed in 1915 (Melbourne, Australia)
Newark Renters, along with Ironbound Community Corporation, organized a series of actions & assemblies for the #renterweekofaction including a rally and 'people's hearing' at city Hall Wednesday to call for strengthened rent control, inclusionary zoning and development without displacement; a rally at the Newark Housing Authority Thursday to demand full funding for HUD and a community assembly & celebration Friday to plan future actions and campaigns!

Rev. Dr Samuel H. Nafzger, executive secretary of the International Lutheran Council (ILC), greets the Assembly. The ILC comprises 29 member churches, of which nine are also members of the LWF. The largest ILC member is the US-based Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
ArtsLink Assembly 2022: Greener Grass? Cultivating Transborder Connections Between Ukrainian Cultural Communities is a platform for Ukrainian artists, curators, and cultural leaders to share perspectives and ideas for the future of the cultural life of the country.
With commissioned work, dialogues, presentations, and panel discussions, the ArtsLink Assembly brought together over forty key Ukrainian artists and cultural leaders to reflect on what needs to happen now, and what strategic decisions are needed for the future.

When in Chiang Mai I visited the paper umbrella factory just outside the city. Everything is hand made along the assembly line and the final product is indeed quite beautiful.
The entire INET team is present in the shot.

On Thursday 26 May 2016, Creative Edinburgh and Creative Dundee joined forces to run Mass Assembly, a one day forum, in West Ward Works during Dundee Design Festival, which brought together people who are part of hubs, collectives, networks and clusters to explore the future of collective working for creatives and the places they are based. #Mass16
In the future, all that is left over are the symbols from our time and they are used as decoration, reverence, and ritual for a new people . . .
"It is ostensibly set in the fairly near future . . . around 2030. It is based around the religion that has sprung up around computers. icons have become Icons, the Icons of the religion. They are part of the regalia and architecture. It isn’t just the icons that have become part of the religion. Hardware has been incorporated into the costumes. Dances and actions mimic regular computer use (computer use from the present not the future)." ~ Adam Lee

Adjunct faculty member Chris Sancomb ’93 SC led an Exquisite Corpse project with
students from his Advanced Metals studio. Based on the French Surrealist game, it
involves people making their own small pieces that are then incorporated into a single, larger sculpture. Chris handed out welding helmets for observers, and was available to answer questions. There was also be a roll of paper for those who wished to participate in a drawn version of the project. The group also test fired an iron cupola that is being assembled for a
Wintersession class.
