In the future, all that is left over are the symbols from our time and they are used as decoration, reverence, and ritual for a new people . . .
"It is ostensibly set in the fairly near future . . . around 2030. It is based around the religion that has sprung up around computers. icons have become Icons, the Icons of the religion. They are part of the regalia and architecture. It isn’t just the icons that have become part of the religion. Hardware has been incorporated into the costumes.
