Aruba is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea. With 106.000 of inhabitants (2019), the total area is 178.91 km2 (69.08 sq mi) and the capital is Oranjestad. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba forms a group referred to as the ABC islands.

The Aruba Streetcar operates in downtown Oranjestad, the capital city of Aruba.
The streetcar line began operations in 2013. It is owned and operated by Arubus, the national public transportation company.
There is a stop at the cruise port. The ride is free.

The three open wagons of the one and only railway on the ABC-islands, that use hydrogen as an energy source are operated according to the Hydrail principle. The energy required is generated from solar and wind power.
Aruba is a desert island full of cacti, iguanas, and strange boulder formations. Residents rely on desalination plants for most of their drinking water.

Grey and cold here, so I'm still playing around with my archives. I think the D70 from Nikon was a brilliant introduction to DSLRs for me. Even though I don't use it any more, I can't bring myself to get rid of it!

This is an old gold smelter, known as "Bushiribana", located on the Windward side of Aruba. I have shot from this exact location before, but I like this result much better.
