Shot at 5:30AM - official sunrise is at 5:47AM - this location does not receive direct sunlight for almost an hour after that. Could hardly see and focus on the heron in the viewfinder. Luckily, the bird's eyes are not in the picture (would have resulted in the well-known red-eye reflection from the flash) - and the position of the fish is a nice extra
When I moved to the Scottish Highlands a couple of years ago, I vowed to NEVER take a photo of Bow Fiddle Rock. Mainly because there are a hundred trillion photographs of it on the internet and I figured the world really could do without seeing another one.
Well, the problem is, I have no self-discipline. Put a family bag of Maynard's Wine Gums or an enormous Cadbury's Fruit n Nut Bar in front of me and I swear it'll be gone in minutes.
Hence, when I was passing through Portknochie the other day, my self discipline failed me again and I unsurprisingly found myself on Bow Fiddle Beach.
But, don't fear I've given myself a thorough bollocking and I promise never to do it again.....

mercie , danke, thank you
its short before 2 a.m .. time for dreaming :-) ..good night dear friends.
This is one of many abandoned houses I saw today on the Isle of Harris. Judging by a newspaper I saw in the kitchen, it looks as though it was being lived in as recently as 1981.
Amazing how some personal belongings still remain....a telephone in the lounge, salt and vinegar pots in the kitchen and even a bar of soap in the bathroom.
An early morning walk along the Allt Dearg Mor and the series of waterfalls in the foothills of the Balck Cuillin. Worth getting out of bed for?

This is my mostly cherished Blue Delphinium -- of all my garden Delphiniums!!-- and my mostly cherished colour, the Delphinium-blue!!
*** These Divinely formed and coloured blooms, express my deepest LOVE and admiration for THIS specific colour-blue shade! The Mediterranean Sea around the Greek islands takes THIS very shade sometimes, and then I call it.... Delphinium-blue! Blessed creatures, these tenderly blue Delphiniums!!

Last week i haved no time for flickr word because of my engagment to show old "sangiorgesi" photos.
