The female, less colorful, has a white eye-ring and a whitish throat. Both adults have crested heads. When swimming, wood ducks bob their head back and forth in a jerking motion, which makes them easy to spot. IMG_1330
I live in the northern Highlands of Scotland & I'm very proud to call it my home.
Yesterday, the Met Office issued the warning of Gale force winds (gusts over 50mph) make walking difficult and strenuous with a potential to be blown over by gusts. There is often a marked increase in winds through cols or on exposed ridges and summits.
As a Professional Photographer, this was music to my ears and Oldshoremore Beach (one of my favourites in Scotland) was the place to be. It was wild, it was beautiful & it was brutally windy. And yes, it was difficult and strenuous to walk along and through the sand dunes and marram grass & I was blown over once or twice.
But, to see this raw beauty in these conditions was another reason why I'm proud to call this land my home.

Since white is my favorite color in the world, when I saw Danske's white set I was so inspired I had to try one myself :-) With a little blue of course :)

This is the third bunch of flowers photoworks, which I played a "mix & match " overlayers game with different flowers photos I took at Taipei 2007 International Flower exhibition, it can be applied into the image of wallpaper, a screen shot at the desktop or screen saver, or adapted into like what Flickr recommand such as calendar etc. Should be unique & impressive.
Flower withdrawals are happening here. This is a perfect rose that I spied in one of the houses in the neighbourhood.
