This is my last roll from devoted Leica Minilux, which suffered a E02 failure while shooting this roll. After 3.5 half years and 30 rolls of film I had to say farewell to the Minilux.

Tekið á Laugarvatni í byrjun árs - Þetta er "smíðahúsið" sem stendur niðri við vatn, við hlið Gufubaðsins.
Framtíð hússins er óvís eftir að Hollvinasamtök Gufubaðsins og Smíðahússins (með Bláa Lónið involverað) komst í svæðið. - Að sjálfsögðu er gott mál að að efla Gufubaðið, og vonandi tekst þeim að gera gott við smíðahúsið, sem er eitt sögufrægasta húsið á Laugarvatni, og eru þau þó nokkur í bænum.
Á teikningunum sem voru á forsíðu Suðurgluggans (linkur hérna undir) er smíðahúsið orðið að veitingaaðstöðu, - þannig hljóta þeir sem ráðast í verkefnið að þurfa að gera húsið upp. - það væri flott.
The east end drinking water plant was built in 1934. It is an Art Deco building that is really amazing. Most of the plant is under ground. Much of the city's drinking water comes through this plant. The supply pipes run 2 kilometer out in to Lake Ontario

Market day in Xizhou.
Xizhou, a legendary town of Nanzhao Kingdom(738-937), is the best place to see Bai people's residences.
The practice of symmetrical layout and enclosed space typical of Chinese folk residences, has emerged as early as Qin and Han dynasties(221BC-220AD) and still dominates Xizhou. Due to different environment, history background and aesthetic value, Bai people develop their own architecture characteristics and expressions. Take Si He Yuan( Chinese quadrangles) in Beijing for instance, they usually has only one floor, while Xizhou has two or more floors. Besides, no matter it is main house or side house, there are always built in three. In the first floor, a well-decorated pathway will be built, which keeps the scorching sunshine away in day time and provides a cool place to enjoy the view of courtyard during night.
