Joan of Arc is an 1879 painting by Jules Bastien-Lepage, that belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in which it was also exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris.
French national hero Joan of Arc became an increasingly important figure in French sculpture, painting and culture in the 1870s and 1880s, following the country's defeat in the Franco-Prussian War, after which the German Empire annexed a part of Joan's (and Bastien-Lepage's) birthplace of Lorraine. Bastien-Lepage was no exception and his work was bought by the New York businessman Erwin Davis in 1880, having been exhibited at the Paris Salon earlier that year.

This is the rear face of the arc building in Hull. Try as I might, I couldn't get a decent picture out of the slopey side and the forest of solar panels & windmills, but the back is quite colourful! Sorry about the weeds.
Edit: I've just found arc's website, and there is a photo exactly like mine, even to the extent of correcting the verticals. Bugger. I didn't see it first, honest!

This project is the second installment of my RGS MOC series. I have seen various ARC Gunship MOCs but I have yet to see the perfect brickbuilt version based on overall accuracy to the real ARC Gunship. There are pretty good ones out there but they have various accuracy issues like wrong colors used (dark blue/dark red combo), overly-done details (real rancor teeth design, additional unnecessary weapons), and even lack of necessary details. This is my modest attempt to hopefully provide the most realistic brick version of the famous ARC Gunship. Based mostly on my previous mods to the official TLG RGS, I have added several other modifications to approximate the overall look of the real ARC Gunship.
