Project from 1999 Aluminum plates that define a continuos loop from a fireplace to the exterior of the residence.
The apartments along the edge of Park La Brea are older than the "tower" units; I'm guessing late 1930s/early 1940s. This is directly across the street from the "back entrance" to LACMA.

Van Nelle fabriek, Rotterdam, Famous Dutch Design Architecture in the beginning of the 20th century. Recently renovated in it's original state. It's an industrial monument now.
De architecten J.A. Brinkman en L.C. van der Vlugt gaven in de periode 1925 tot 1928 vorm aan een fabriekscomplex dat bij uitstek een exponent zou worden van het 'Nieuwe Bouwen'.

ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@432) - 2R-Hex Architecture Design - (Detail: middle large 3D triangle mount)
Spread out the tips of the middle large 3D triangle mount.
This was created for the Zen Magnets 2R-Hex Architecture contest ... zenmagnets.com/blog/?p=236
The end result is a very portable Zen Corporate Headquarters Building design doubling as a trans-warp universe hopper spaceship ... making it possible for Zen Magnets to be anywhere in the galaxy and beyond.
The challenge on this design was two-fold: limiting subunit designs to 2L-Hex sheet variations and getting something balanced and architecturally stable enough to stand up on its own without the use of a metal sheet.
This was constructed entirely of 2-R-Hex (2-layer Hexagon sheets) folded and combined in various ways.

cuya función es la de Casa de huéspedes, determinada por las funciones generales de uso y circulación teniendo en
cuenta la relación interior-exterior con diferentes valoraciones. Las áreas exteriores de permanencia peatonal,
recreación y parqueadero de vehículos se debían diseñar como planos horizontales localizados en diferentes niveles de
acuerdo a la pendiente del terreno y relacionados entre sí por medio de escaleras. El programa incluye las siguientes
áreas: Hall, 10 alcobas, salón de recepciones, servicios generales, servicios de apoyo (salón de conferencias,
exposiciones, etc), área administrativa, áreas exteriores (parqueadero semicubierto, áreas recreativas) y elemento
vertical simbólico y/o funcional.

The first to be built on campus in nearly 40 years, the newest residence hall at Texas A&M University at Kingsville is a 630-bed student housing facility that is comprised of three-and four-story buildings that create several courtyards. Built in the campus’ traditional Mission Style, the building includes two and four-bedroom suites with one or two bathrooms, depending on the design, a living room, and a kitchenette. The living and learning environment has study labs, a large lounge and meeting rooms, wireless internet, a full kitchen for student use, laundry facilities and Resident Advisor (RA) apartments.
