La Pedrera was the last great civil work with Gaudí performed for a industrialist and politician Pere Milà and his wife Roser Segimon.
Gaudi designed the Casa Milà exclusively with natural forms, so that not a single right angle is to find. To visit is not only the yards. Visitors can also experience an apartment in the style of modernism from the beginning of the 20th Century.
ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@432) - 2R-Hex Architecture Design - (Detail: Connection point [rear] for very top tip)
This was created for the Zen Magnets 2R-Hex Architecture contest ... zenmagnets.com/blog/?p=236
The end result is a very portable Zen Corporate Headquarters Building design doubling as a trans-warp universe hopper spaceship ... making it possible for Zen Magnets to be anywhere in the galaxy and beyond.
The challenge on this design was two-fold: limiting subunit designs to 2L-Hex sheet variations and getting something balanced and architecturally stable enough to stand up on its own without the use of a metal sheet.
This was constructed entirely of 2-R-Hex (2-layer Hexagon sheets) folded and combined in various ways.
See set for build details: www.flickr.com/photos/tend2it/sets/72157627353248875/
The combined 4 sheet 2-R-Hex (1 + 3) starts the component build details (Starting from the base section to the top).

The Clyde Auditorium, familiarly known as "The Armadillo", is a concert venue and auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland. The building sits on the site of the now infilled Queen's Dock on the River Clyde, adjacent to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Plans for a new building to increase the capacity of the SECC complex were initiated in 1995. Designed by award-winning architects Foster and Partners, the 1,100 seat venue was completed in 1997, by which time it had earned its affectionate nickname due to the similarity of its shape to that of the animal of the same name. Many comparisons have been made with the Sydney Opera House, although this was not the architects' inspiration for the design, which was in fact an interlocking series of ship's hulls, in reference to the Clyde's shipbuilding heritage.
The building has quickly become one of the most recognisable on Clydeside and one of the iconic images of modern Glasgow. Its success has led to the construction of a third venue on the complex, the Scottish Hydro Arena.
It is connected by passageways to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, and the Crowne Plaza hotel for easy access and exit for high-profile performers.
The building served as the venue for the weightlifting competitions of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, held in Glasgow.
ArcStart is a three-week long residential program for high school students that offers students the opportunity to explore the built environment firsthand through an introduction to architectural design. The Pinnacle@Duxton is a 2.5-hectare residential complex located at 1 Cantonment Road, Singapore.
The project consists of seven connected 50-storey towers, labelled 1A to 1G, with a total of 1,848 units.
The Pinnacle@Duxton features the world's two longest sky gardens of 500 metres (1,600 ft) each, on both the 26th and 50th floors. All seven towers are the world's tallest public housing buildings.
In June 2010, The Pinnacle@Duxton was the recipient of the 2010 Best Tall Building Asia and Australasia award by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
The Pinnacle@Duxton is an iconic housing project in Singapore's public housing history, with many unique features that set it apart from other Housing Development Board (HDB) housing projects.
Located at the site where the first two HDB blocks in that area were built, it is the first 50-storey public housing project in Singapore, housing 1,848 apartments in 7 towering blocks.
Born out of the first international design competition for public housing, it is also the first in the world with 2 unique skybridges linking the 7 blocks at the 26th and 50th storey. The skybridges create possibly the longest continuous skygardens in the world, offering panoramic views of the city skyline.
The original two HDB rental blocks at the site of The Pinnacle@Duxton were completed in 1963.
The rental blocks were announced for the HDB Relocation Programme in August 2001, as part of an estate renewal strategy to rejuvenate the Tanjong Pagar area and attract new households into the city.
The Urban Redevelopment Authority, in consultation with the Singapore Institute of Architects, organized an International Architectural Design Competition in August 2001 to select the best design for the public housing development at the site. A total of 227 firms from 32 countries took part, with 74% of the entries from the Asia Pacific Region, 15% from Europe and the Middle-East and 11% from the Americas.
ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism, Singapore was named the winner of the International Architectural Design Competition on 30 April 2002.
The flats at The Pinnacle@Duxton were launched for sale under HDB's Build-to-Order System on 29 May 2004.
Construction works commenced in April 2005.
The final connecting skybridge was launched on 2 September 2009 by the Minister for National Development.
The flats were completed in December 2009. A keys-hand over ceremony was held on 13 December 2009.
