93/366 ~ I just wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish that I could bake a cake made out of rainbows and smiles, and we'd all eat it and be happy. From the movie, "Mean Girls"

Things were complicated in Middle School but it was still my favorite time in school. I loved all of my teachers. I remember asking Mr. Case if he could work it out where I could finish my Sophomore - Senior years at Rugby. Times were great way back then! I said it already one time this week but I'll say it again, "My how time does fly!"

The owner of Bad Decisions in Baltimore found this 50 year old bottle of Old Smuggler in his fathers basement. Its now available for shots at the bar.

Many a night me and Mr. Bear would be under the covers, secretly with a lamp and later with a beef jerky stash I had under my bed from the janitor.....I was obsessed with reading and writing poetry as a child. I feel a little sad I don't write anymore. The words do not float from my pen as easily, I miss being less critical of the 'product' I create, be it writing or photography.

Also, I find the act of dating and personalizing a book before gifting endearing to this day. Everyone thinks I'm weird. I guess I have my parents to thank for that. teehee!

G'nite all. Think bear will like to cuddle? (I can't believe I do not remember his name). c. 1975. By R. Dakin. Contents: shredded clippings, Styrofoam, ground nutshells (no nut allergy fears back then). Book of Random House Poetry for Children selected by Jack Prelutsky, illustrated by Arnold Lobel.

With the tulips my husband sent me from overseas.

I said I wasn't patronizing the Kardashian empire....but I just had to have sparkles when I was at CVS the other day. Some smart ladies I've met through Flickr say that sparkles can well, fix stuff. I'm trying to well, fix stuff. Primarily this mood I'm in. Sigh.

9 - younger you 10 - cold 11 - where you ate breakfast 12 - stairs (subway)

After a trip to England in the 4th grade, I insisted on the above spelling of color as well as theatre among others. I got red marks on the spelling test. :(

This is my dirty laundry 'orchid' from my February photo a day album. I'm just now washing the socks. :)

I was at a birthday party today so I couldn't take a sunset photo :~

This photo was taken some days ago when I was in Savannah-GA, in the side mirror again... :)

I'm not very good at this april's challenge; most of my photos weren't taken at the same day... *frustated: ON*

today's photo of the day was "where you ate breakfast".. that would be at my desk at work.......

this is my interpretation

Sometimes I feel like I am locked to my desk....

I've been in a mad frenzy lately to wrap up a project requiring a 4/30 postmark date....it was a wild ride but now I'm sad. The work is gone, and I'm really happy about it. But all I have left is to 'tidy' this enormous mess I made. I liked my old home in respect to the fact I had the ENTIRE unfinished basement to myself, leading to large assemblages, scary visits with spiders and mucho sweeping (I have a history of massive charcoal dust collection on the floor). Anyways, I don't want to clean it up. It signifies moving on and choosing something completely new to work on (which is fun in a way but also daunting).

Over the weekend I saw this partially corny yet good movie called At First Sight. (All joking aside about the fact that Val Kilmer is one of my secret boyfriends). Kilmer's character looses his sight in chilhood and has made peace with being blind until a surgeon is able to restore his vision as an adult...unfortunately it also awakens his retinal bloodflow leading to his childhood disease returning and resulting in him going blind all over again (sorry it's from 1999 how can you be mad at me for the spoiler). I got super teary eyed when he sees cotton candy and remembers the 'clouds' from his childhood memory....it just reminded me about how much of my life is centered around the fact that I can see. I mean photography, it's completely dependent on this sense. Forget about driving a car, chopping veggies with a really sharp knife, seeing the joy when your loved one opens their birthday gift...etc... I am really thankful for the simple act of sight. Thanks for reading my novel. :)

April 20 - Something I Drew. I am not an artist. I have never been able to draw. But with the help of Photoshop I can now draw things on my photos. I drew blood on my hand with photoshop for this Alfred Hitchcock themed photo earlier this year.

Day 6: Getting these cookies done #feelsgood. I had one for #lunch too. Mixing and matching #aprilphotoaday and #aprilphoto366 as I please. :)

My photo for April 6th.

I have taken similiar photos with the refrigerator before. But todays challenge was cold so I thought I would do one again.

1 - your reflection 2 - colour 3 - mail (since always .-.) 4 - someone who makes you happy (<33)

I decided to get a start on this challenge by making this one an easy one: the rearview mirror. Makeup-less and taken with my iPhone, it's at least a start. People keep saying what great pictures you can take with the iPhone, so we'll see if I can produce some of those this month. Heh.

I'll be pulling out the Big Girl Camera at points this month, too. Just to see what I can get from both.

Its that mid winter kick back time. A good book, some tea biscuits, and the ever faithful Delilah the Wonder Lab at my side.

Photo challenge for April 7 was the word "shadow". I thought of trying to find a unique shadow outside someplace, but then thought about my dog Delilah. She truly is my shadow. She is at my side 24/7. Where I go she is at my side. What better shadow could I ask for.
