Delivering to Sainsburys store in Mill Lane,Bedminster
Bristol on the 1st April 1983
Taken with a Halina 1100.
Some time later,in a different tractor,i ran out of time and had to spend the night here.
Back then there was a KFC on the corner of Mill Lane and the main road.
I went in to buy my supper,i was the only customer.
I gave my order to the lad behind the counter who carefully wrote it down on a order pad.
He tore the slip out and turned and carefully clipped it to a peg on a revolving disc hanging from the ceiling.
He then walked around the partition separating the counter area from the food preparation area.
He reached up,turned the disc till he could detach my order slip.
He carefully read it then made up my order which he then bought back round to the counter.
I took it from him and paid, then left.
He said nothing and kept a straight face all through this.
To this day i have no idea whether he always did this or not.
I have often wondered what he may have gone on to be a manager of.
Hello !
We are all down on the south coast of England enjoying the weak March sunshine…..Which as you can see…..Has given Duffy the bear the excuse to top up his tan…….As to why all the other are all laughing……Well ……I will tell you….As a early April fool joke…….I have told them, that from here on a clear sunny day like today you can plainly see the coast line of the USA …..Which I said…. Would make that shore line across the water that we can see behind us…..Is the state of Virginia.....Yes I should have known……That Shelties would be much too smart to swallow that story line……And that Duffy may not be topping up his tan after all…..And simply been bowled over with my obviously foolish joke……After all ……Anyone with any sense, can plainly see that it is the state of Texas that we can see…….Ummmmmm…….Now then Guys…. what have I said now, that you all find so funny now
37607 & 37409 "Lord Hinton" pass Dowley Gap, Bingley with "The Easter Highlander: Day 4" - 1Z36 09:44 Dumbarton Central to Exeter St Davids. 1st April 2013. Twenty seconds later and it would have been in full sun. Grrrr.
Comments always appreciated, as long as you keep it clean - I love to hear your feedback! xx
Lockdown leisure time, and I decided to go for my Aztec print dress for this evening back in April.

Went to Harvey’s Comedy Club with my friends. This is April one of the bar tenders there who just loves when we come to a show. So of course I had to get a picture with her as she is so awesome. You can read about the night on my blog at susanmiller64.wordpress.com/2012/04/15/saturday-night-at-...
Impeccably clad P. Gallwey playing golf at Tramore. Don't know whether he's in the rough, or whether Tramore Golf Club just wasn't as manicured as we're used to nowadays.
See comments below for sad news about Mr Patrick Joseph Gallwey who was a doctor. He looks so hale and hearty in this photo. Thanks to blackpoolbeach and Niall McAuley for their genealogical research. And do not miss Nageesor's Gallwey family death certificate transcriptions below...

120 of 365.
The days are much longer now than they were back in January. It's really making a difference to this 365 of mine that I'm able to go out and photograph the sunset around 11 pm rather than before 5 pm. Just caught the last few moments out by Gróttuviti and then my dad and I went and got ourselves some ice cream.
April is a Florida panther, and was actually born at the sanctuary. She is the result of the pairing of a supposedly spayed mother (Elsie) and Spudnik, a cougar used for fighting pitbulls 3 at a time. He was paired with her for socialization after he was confiscated- and April, plus her other siblings, were the result.
April only has a third of her stomach- the neighbors came into the sanctuary one night and gave her food with enough rat poison to kill her. Luckily, it was caught in time, and she came out alive. Now, she's a little unpredictable, but my personal favorite. Aggressive with others, she's quiet with me and I love to feed her.. Even though she's a picky eater. ;)
South Florida Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a tax deductible sanctuary for abused and neglected exotic pets. We rely solely on private donations to keep open. Check us out, and please donate if you can! Any amount makes a difference. Thank you! BigCatSponsor.Com
Fred McDonagh in his Signal Cabin, Enfield, Co. Meath at 1.55 p.m.
We got some lovely information on Fred from his grandson Traingraham:
"A wonderfull photo of my Grandad, he was just after moving from Moyvalley station some 3 miles down the track which was just after closing down. " A true Gentleman" Lived in Moyvalley station till he died in Naas hospital on the 7 July 1977, Retired in November 71 or 72, had a daughter and two sons. His wife died on 2 Jan 1983."
And we have another lovely O'Dea Collection photo featuring Fred (and James O'Dea himself) at Furey's pub in Moyvalley...

A very classy orchestral group, including two very young violinists, pictured somewhere in Waterford. Any Waterford buffs recognise the pillars or clock?

We are cleaning out the basement...can't put paint in the trash unless it is dried out. They provide a nice palette of colors in the back yard. I might just keep them there until the flowers bloom and take over.
April-May: "Why no, nothing at all is different. Nothing!" ^.^
(I got the itch last night and finally went at her fringe with scissors. I got fed up of it being over her eyes or having to be clipped back all the time!)
The spring is cold and we had a few days where the children´s playground at school has been covered with snow, both in March and April. From my "Schoolkids" series of children in Austurbæjarskóli, ReykjavÃk.
