If you didn't get the invite and IM from me - it means we didn't accept you this time, please don't take it personal! We all have different styles, some of them just don't work together.

Good morning Flickr friends, and Happy Saturday. Today’s photo is taken with my Iphone and with an app called Slow Shutter. I’ve been looking for an opportunity to sit at the very back of the Blue Line train for a while now and it happened yesterday. I happily tried my app first time in every tunnel we pass. This place here is the tunnel between Division and Chicago. I like it, even though it is not perfect. Just posting it here to compare with a future better one. Thank you for your visit 😊

Uploading for Saturday Self-Challenge theme "rings & circles".

This is part of the kitchen "splashback" panel behind my cooker. A repeating pattern featuring colourful spices HSSC! We chose this design because (a) it's colourful & cooking related and (b) it doesn't show any greasy splashes so rarely needs cleaning 😊

My plant ID app says this is an elegant zinnia, but I'm not sure. It's in a raised bed in the education garden at Lexington Community Farm.

Discovered a new phone app and thought I'd try it out.

Joensuu is a small town in Finland. It's name translates to: rivermouth or Joe'smouth :-) Sorry about the low resolution. Image got destroyed by some of the post processing apps I used last night :-)

I had vinyl records, 8 track tapes and AM/FM radio dialed in on a tuner. I evolved to cassettes and then to CDs. Now I have none of it as I stream my music and radio stations via bluetooth and apps from my phone to a kick butt tuner and speakers. This 8 track player and tuner is built into the kitchen of the vintage mobile home that my husband and I bought so we could shed our mortgage and maintenance while we were still young enough to enjoy the freedom. It's the only obsolete thing we still own as we have no room for anything that isn't useful :-}}}}

Happy Macro Monday!

The used App Hypocam has a few Filters preinstalled and here I used the Filter HC-01.

About the series

I was in Berlin for a few days and of course I wanted to shoot some Photos. My normal Camera was a little too big and unhandy for my business-trip and so I gave a Chance to my smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 11) and a free B&W-App called “Hypocam”. I would like to share a few impressions, but it will not be a detailed test of the smartphone-camera or the software. For me it was more about the question: can my Smartphone compete with my normal Camera? And can I create a nice & appealing b&w-Series with this equipment?

I will try to answer it primarily by showing the final results and I want to add only a little Text to every Photo. I hope you like the photos and if you want to leave a comment: What experiences have you had so far? Can a smartphone compete with or even replace expensive equipment in some situations?
