A lot of my approach shots were a bit soft thanks to too slow a shutter speed (my fault) and some pretty good bumps and bounces but it's still London and that's what matters.
Intermittent clouds at the edge of an approaching storm front allowed the sun's rays to highlight the rain across the farmland. Taken May 31, 2021 in Marathon County, WI.
I think this is the same spider whose web is often the one on the lawn covered with dew in the morning. This guy had managed to build a web higher up in the goldenrods. The web still lies flat.
NS SD70M-2 #2766 leads an eastbound manifest out of the west side of Cleveland, approaching the drawbridge over the Cuyahoga River.
HDR. The old siding to the right used to serve a small network of lines in the large quarry just the north of the railway here. Despite its shiny appearance here (just wet) it hasn't been used for decades.
Approaching midsummer in the Nordic countries which means that the days are at their longest and that the sun only dips below the horizon in the Stockholm area at night, which can provide amazing backdrop for a Korean Government Boeing 747-400.
Final approach into LAX after a long flight from Bangkok. We were coming in as TG794, Thai Airways Airbus A345. 15 hours journey was about to be completed.

The time when I am regularly behind the camera again is approaching. I live here now; in the desert. In dirt and sun, between Joshua Trees and wash board roads. I am finally home and no thing could bring me more joy.

I first trekked this section of the trail with Hazel back in 2015, just before the first 2015 Earthquake, which struck this area very hard. Rambling along the Thames in Oxfordshire, just outside of Oxford on a bleak autumnal day.Yellow leaves punctuate our path, just as much as the thick wood smoke from pot belly burners aboard boats that serve as homes docked along the river.
Admittedly, it did manage to stop raining as we started our postprandial jaunt.
