66197 approaches Nuneaton 25 mins late heading UK Railtour's "Ferry-Go-Round" railtour on Saturday 20th October 2012. With a 15 min stop at Crewe cut to 2 mins we were back on time by the reversal at Ditton sidings.

The great race continues, maroon drawing level with brown, my blue in third place and Sidelong's red still last - long way to go!

The hopelessly out-of-date "Trainspots" site shows a cabin on the other side of the road and recommends parking beside the cabin. Both now gone, with the only safe parking at the local pub - they don't mind (outside pub hours), but ask first.

I understand that a man and woman got married, both dressed as grooms, and everyone else in the wedding party wore a wedding dress. Spectacular!

 

Four brass bands took over Fort Greene Park. The Hungry March Band, the Rude Mechanical Orchestra, the What Cheer? Brigade, and A Lesser Panda, four of the most titanic, charismatic, enigmatic, never sycophantic, and always up your antic brass bands the Northeast has to offer. It'll make you want to have grandkids so you can tell them about it.

 

All hyberbole aside, yeah!

Last weekend's Pulaski Bridge Races. This unofficial race was officially fun. Actually, I had already finished a few minutes prior to this. So this was for the camera.

Before I saw a car drive over this viaduct I stopped on the approach to take a few photos. There was absolutely no one around that I could see, but the evidence of hobos was everywhere and I figured I'd better not go further on foot with a camera.
