I wonder if any scientist/engineering types study plants like this that survive harsh conditions where lots of others do not. Thickness of skin? Antifreeze inside? Lessons learned could have applications in lots of other places.

Ravaged by fire on the evening of 12 November 2022, the Dundee retail premises known as Willison House were latterly the subject of a planning application for conversion to student flats.

The building, at the junction of Barrack Street and Willison Street, was erected around 1934 to the designs of architectural practice Findlay Stewart and Robbie, for the local house furnishing firm John L Robertson Ltd. The appearance of this arresting piece of Art Deco in one of the city's ancient thoroughfares probably raised a few eyebrows at the time.

Robertson's ceased trading in 2011 and the shop—by then looking a little the worse for wear—fell into abandonment.

Within days of the fire, demolition of the building's shell began.

This was one of those nightmarish days you only dream about.

It began at 7:30 with that crazy park lady. I walk far away from her now. I park in a different place and walk a quarter-mile from her. But when she sees me, she walks directly at me, no matter where I am and who I'm with. Today, I was picking raspberries. I stopped when she walked toward me. I walked in the woods. I think she followed me, but I went fast, came out on the other side, and walked in the road. She is really ruining my days when I see her, which, fortunately, is once a week.

I came home and worked on cutting glass for awhile, and then I went skating. I also dropped some things off at the post office and attempted to buy stamps, but my card wouldn't scan, and the post office REFUSED to enter the number manually. They said it was against store policy. I asked for the manager. He wouldn't come out. I banged on his door. He wouldn't come out. A supervisor came to talk to me. She couldn't answer any of my questions. All she knew was, "They wouldn't take mines, either."

I went home angry and found a message from my mother that the travel agent wants to make sure my daughter has a passport confirmation. Except that I have tried that every day, and it hasn't worked. It still didn't. I called the passport office once again (I called last week, and a woman said she'd e-mail DC to put a rush on it), and I was told to press one and three and zero, and then the machine told me there were too many callers waiting, and it hung up. Seventeen times. And then when I finally got through, I was on the phone for 59 minutes.

The woman at the passport office told me there's no record of my daughter's application, that I can try to make an appointment for one of the three days this week that it's open before the trip, but she won't guarantee that I get an appointment, and no one's reimbursing us the thousands of dollars for the tickets.

Then I called the post office, and I was told, "This is what I can do for you, ma'am. I will call myself." I asked about the canceled money order, and the woman said, "I just told you what I could do for you. Don't try to tell me what I can do for you. I am doing what I told you I would do, now let me do that without telling me...."

She said she'd call in the morning. Meanwhile, I can pay $5 to put a trace on the money order.

I wrote to my congressman. I sent a third e-mail to the passport office, and it was actually answered today. There's no record of my daughter's passport. The person who wrote told me to call the passport office again.

I went to a self-defense class tonight. I punched the bag very, very hard. It was a very, very bad bag.

(But the instructor's son, holding the bag, was truly a hottie.)

I skated for one hour today. It was my only pleasure. I didn't even enjoy the beers.

I can still laugh, as long as there's Engrish.

1) While viewing the portfolios of an artist, the "Contact" button will allow you to access information about the artist (his email, his website ...)

2) You can keep in your favorites any photographers, which will have the effect of increasing a computer fans, by photographer, and thus influence the

4) You can sort the list of authors in 4 modes:

. TOP: by ranking (number of fans)

. NEW: Registration date (can easily identify new photographers)

. MODIF: by date updated portfolios (which will see the photographers who have made recent updates)

. CACHE: ability to re-view (no Internet connection) portfolios already imported into iFolio.

Photographers and artists who are members of iFolio can manage and modify at any time their portfolios.

Therefore to facilitate consultations with news, a list by sorting the artists according to the option "Edit".

And iFolio back regularly to see the news presented.

5) You can also search an artist by name.

So if you're a member of iFolio, you can tell your customers and prospects that you are part of your work in the application iFolio, and they can easily find you by searching on your behalf.

Bodyfy is bimontly event (april, june, august, october, december) that regroup designers of different background that will present their creations in one location. The general theme is connected to everything that touches the skin (skin, tattoo, makeup , scarification , henna , piercing , jewelry, body part, mesh head and more.) The style is industrial, alternative, grunge or other similar style. Clothes are not allowed at this event.

This event is for women, men or unisex items. Bodyfy opening on December 8th and ends on Dec 24 th. Each designer will have to create one exclusive item related the theme and it’s not a discount event. We are reaching for high quality items and there is no prices limit.

Artistic application using my imagination and an old photo taken a few years ago on my travels around the USA. Side roads are great escapes and scenery like this is abundant if you are looking for it. Unfortunately, I have little artistic ability so I lack the talent to create art from pen, ink, pencil, marble, etc. but I do have the imagination to look at a an object or a scene and envision and interpret what’s on my mind.

Photographed March 2022 / I used a Zorki-6 35mm rangefinder Film Camera with Jupiter-12 35mm/2.8 lens to make the photograph on KENTMERE 400 35mm bulk stock metered ASA 320 developed in KTF-QP (a hydroquinone-phenidone formula which uses triethanolamine as alkali). Negative was scanned with A PENTAX k3 DSLR and Schneider COMPONON-S 80mm/4 enlarging lens. The image was edited on an iPad mini using the Snap Seed application: full frame scan of entire negative area without trimming.

Searching small abandoned Jedi hideout in Malaastre system, large forest fields, everywhere you can be ambushed Zillo Beast or Dug raiders, isn't fun.

We got echo from Imperial Inteligence about group of one two Jedi masters and one Padawan, plus some humans still beliving in Jedi order hiding somewhere on northwest parts of the planet. Jedi with his Padawan got 501st. two days ago, they lost one just one member. We, 41st., splited on groups per 15 soldiers must order Palpatine's Order 66 followed his vision about order in Galaxy - kill next Jedi. 35 years old male human Jedi Master is our target and we can't fail. Intelligence says she should be hide in old Comunication outpost.

Jedi we found was hidden in the abandoned Comunication outpost and was subsequently neutralized. He was surprised and did not cause much injury and no death. The body was burned and the lightsaber confiscated. The whole unit is now pointing to the pickup. CT-8678-55 ends

I would like to introduce new RPG group called Dark Times, group is focused on timeline after Order 66, for application - like me, you must make executing Order 66. I have to admit that with writing stories like this I have not had experience so far, and I have always admired the other work and time spent with it. But now I know it's really fun and fun as if you were writing your own book. This scene is from my Comunication base Zero 4, whitch I still own, but I also used it as good application scene.
