While at W+K I designed and art directed, in conjunction with CareerBuilder.com, the first-ever iPhone application to allow users to search for jobs.
Entitled "Jobs," the application utilized the iPhone's Geolocation technology to show jobs located near the user. Jobs could be added to a list of favorites or sent on to a friend.
The application utilized the CareerBuilder.com database of nearly 2 million job postings and was the most successful mobile venture ever for CareerBuilder.com. In the first 90 days of its use, over 90,000 people downloaded the application. They ran 931,432 job searches and viewed 1,068,802 job details. Nearly 33,000 emails were sent from the device to apply for jobs from their computers, and 46,292 employer locations were viewed using the built-in map functionality.

I have to thank Sam for pointing me in the direction of this particular iPhone application (not that he knows, it's just that I saw him mention and use it on his daily video blog) and so I decided to spend just over £1 (£1.19) to buy it (ReelMoments).
It allows timelapse photography over a period of your choice with photos ranging from every 2 seconds to much longer apart, a choice of frames per second on the finished video, length of time filming etc.
This particular one was filmed for half an hour, intervals of 2 seconds and 15 frames per second.
Therefore the finished film runs for 1 minute.
The clouds were moving really slowly here but you get the idea. I've had fun playing around with this!

Tech Mahindra has made their ‘FightBack’ application, designed for making the streets safer for women, free after the fatal gang-rape of the 23-year-old medical student in Delhi. The app tracks the location of the user and if she comes under threat then a panic button lets her send an alert within seconds that will broadcast her location anonymously.
