Apologies for my absence of late. I had to step away for a while.
Under clouds that were worth the chigger bites endured to capture them, a BNSF grain train rolls east near Panhandle, Texas on the evening of July 19th, 2024.
Apologies for my lack of interaction over here. Things are rather busy at the moment due to some personal and medical issues. I hope to be back soon!!!
Apologies to my Flickr friends for my protracted absence. I haven't had TIME for photography or Flickr recently.
I hope to be back properly sooner or later.
And contrary to the rumours... I AM NOT DEAD!

I wanted to say I'm sorry. To everyone. I know I've been selfish and constantly complaining. You all dont deserve that.
from now on I'm going to upload my work without a work..
of course there will be emoion that comes with the photo..but thats it...
sorry again..
Apologies for the crap photo. This Barkas is owned by an interesting bar in central Budapest, which was sadly completely full when I went.
I wandered into a field on the evening dog walk and spotted this view. I didn't have the camera with me so here is a phone photo- sorry!
Apologies to the 14 people who commented using 'group graphics.' They have been removed, because I don't like them: they ruin & fractalize the flow of commentary from others. Sorry, it's entirely my fault, as I accepted invites to add this to a number of groups without checking out the format first.
By the way, there is no texture added to this. :o)
apologies for the quick phone shot again! somethings just have to happen whether storm abigail and barney are upon us or not!
bit by bit, and piece by piece it's adding up
the one i love loves me the least
a growing need for apologies,
but when i'm wrong i'm weak in the knees
it's better now you don't come back to me.
let it be known i'm a liar and a thief
what i stole is in what ive said
its a shame our books been closed,
because its words have been bled

Apologies (and thanks) to those who have favourited the duplications of this image. The Flickr app seems to be malfunctioning and is posting this many times over. It angers me to have to delete your kind comments and faves. (I have now deleted the app).
Apologies for being so behind but looking forward to a good catch up this evening :)
Thanks for all the lovely comments on yesterday's fuchsia shot :)
Apologies for the blown highlights in the sky, it was shot with an iphone and I only have limited editing capability on my ipad :(
Apologies if these are a bit the same. There's a stretch of the lake edge that's around 60 meters long that I particularly like. As the sunset was so glorious I thought I'd make hay while the sun shone :)
I wanted to apologize to all my contact, i know i been a bad contact lately. The thing is there's been a slightly changes in my office wok this year, its a good changes but it made me busy all day!. I'm very tired by the time i reach home and i'm away most of the weekend for some 'family matter'. So, flickring is almost impossible sometimes though i did peek on some of your photostream sometimes :)
Anyway, i really enjoy and appreciates the comments, view and invites. Thanks all.
Apologies for another large group of images, this time from my recent trip to my good friend Lillian's Garden hide.
Apologies for posting two shots of the same bird today but it was a thrill to see my first Little Eagle. This shot is not perfect as I had the shutter speed set at 1/320 while taking the static shot when it suddenly took off. No time to change settings!
EDITED VERSION- APOLOGIES TO RICH and JP for that matter, lol.
So here I am at Shorncliffe Peir for the Brisbane Meetup telling a gr8 photographer about my struggle to get long exposure shots at night on dark subjects.
Rich tells me to set the focus on infinity and use Manual Focus and a low Apeture (5.6) and try for a ninety second exposure again.
Ummm yeah, sure- out of focus result. Then he has a bit of a giggle and explains to me that setting the focus to infinity actually involves rotating the manual focus ring on the lens to the end
-----OH, DOH. Hey presto, a reasonably sharp image without using AF on the lens and now I know what infinity focus is and how to do manual focus.. thanks Rich
Canon 24-105mm, ISO 100 Apeture 5.6 with an ninety second exposure.
My apologies to those whose textures I used...I can't remember and didn't record.
Thank-you to poketypatch for recognizing this as a Paul Grand texture.

How would we cook without garlic. Every year in fall I plant about 80 cloves, cover the bed with chopped straw and leave for the winter sleep. It's so exciting in spring to pull the straw aside and see the the new growth. Apart from keeping them watered, there's not much to do but enjoy the lovely, dancing scape stage and then watch for the right time to lift them...usually end of July. Can't leave them too long or they'll burst their papers and won't keep. After they've had a chance to dry, I save the best 25 bulbs and these I set aside for seed to start the cycle all over again. I share with garlic loving family and friends which is such a joy. We always have a feast of baked garlic drizzled with olive oil and spread on thinly sliced, toasted home- baked whole wheat bread.
Apologies but I had to dig something out of the archive for this weeks' challenge..... Darn work just gets in the way of life....!!
For this week's TSC...... [The Sunday Challenge]

Check out the new group... Photo ~ Art
Thanks for dropping by....
Apologies to anyone who has seen this picture before as it was initially posted on May 10 when Flickr had its mini breakdown. All other issues seem to have been resolved, however, this picture does not appear to have been retrieved. Still, massive thanks to all the Flirkr team who worked so hard to get everyone back to a semblance of normality who had issues at this time.
