Apologies for lack of comments and posts recently - just back from 3 weeks in the Lakes and just had to have another crack at this classic, magical location. Become a bit of a cliche this shot but I still enjoy everyone's different take on it. Amazed to see how quiet the Lakes are this year - must be the weather? Not even a queue of toggers at this jetty this time!

Apologies for posting another cat picture, but this cat managed to catch my attention while I was out and about this afternoon.
Apologies for my short absence, have had a busy weekend getting out enjoying the weather and my birthday. Hope you've had a great weekend too :).
Apologies for the 'same ole' type of shots but thought it wold be worth posting another version of the Herringfleet Pump following my outing yesterday morning. I failed to profile the lens with the colour checker passport, so this has the 'Camera Landscape' profile setting applied from ACR. Image has had minimal PP treatment other than CA removal, black point setting using levels, slight lifting of shadows to remove the grad line and High Pass sharpening in PS. Lee 0.9 HE grad used.

Apologies to the Piano Man but he could have been equally singing about Siena as Vienna. It certainly has it's own charm and beauty.
Apologies to those who had already commented on and/or faved an earlier version of this image - it was not the one intended for public display!

Apologies for not being that active on Flickr. The lockdown is really killing my inspiration. This is a shot from a trp to New Zealand in 2017 and to say the least I wouldn't mind being on that fjord right now.
Apologies for horrible lighting! I had to take down the whole woodland scene on the top shelf because there were a few moths on a piece of bark that had unfortunatly gotten to a few doll's wigs. For now I am turning it into a stage I just have to redo the curtains because they are very uneven and aren't to scale. Other news- there may be someone new joining the elves this Christmas :)
Definitely no apologies for another kitten picture. It is now called Kobalt. Chosen by default.
After another two weeks of socializing the four kittens will go to Animal Humane where they will be spayed/neutered and re-homed.
Apologies for the terrible photo, I'll probably retake it later, but I want'ed to get this up for Mark's contest over in the Lego War group before it ends tonight.
Overall I'm really happy with how this build came out and it looks so much better in person (my crappy photo taking abilities didn't do it justice :P)
As always C&C is welcome and TFVAHAGD!
Apologies for posting valesinas yet again, but this is now the third completely different place I've seen this rare form in as many weeks which must be some kind of record! Also I saw two different individuals today - one very fresh, and this one which is somewhat less so.

Apologies to all my flickr friends, but we have limited internet access on our holidays. I've just seen the thumbnails of all the wonderful images you have been posting and will view them properly as soon as I get home. In the meantime, here is just one photo to prove I am having a great time on my holidays. Kindest Regards to all. Neil
Apologies again for posting and running . . . busy here, and it looks like a teacher strike here in WV is inevitable.
Thanks for Viewing.

Apology for being so absent-minded lately!
I'm running a few projects concurrently and they demand a lot of my time and energy.
Hope your week is going well!🌹
Apologies for another 'photographers at work' image. At least this one is also a landscape. I was shooting minimalist style photos of the Margate bathing pool - the photographer and his tripod make an apt addition I think.
Apologies - family illness is making commenting difficult this week!
For the Macro Monday challenge (February 2nd 2015) Chocolate
One of my dwindling store of chocolate coins! I thought that maybe a hint, a mere glimpse, would tease the taste buds more than a full 'strip' ;o))
The coin is just 1 inch in diameter... or was before I ate it....

Apologies to our native brothers and sisters. Finally! Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day. Sorry that it took so long, but grateful that we can begin to make amends.
Apologies for a sporadic showing on here of late, my main laptop died, and I've had to transfer everything over to a substitute.
Anyway, here's another from a particularly fine sunset at Sango Bay, with the back end of storm clouds being lit up by the rays of the setting sun. The pink of the sunlit cloud, and the reflected pink on the sea really set off the dark blues of the storm cloud further into to the cloud front.
* With apologies to Elsa and Anna...and to my daughter, who would blow a gasket if she knew I was appropriating a song from Frozen.
Anyhow, for this week's edition of Sunday Fun Day, I decided to take a risk and head for Hoosac Tunnel. Unlike last time, I actually caught a moving train on the West End, my first one there in at least a decade. Since eastbound 16R was creeping, I made eight sets on the ground and two more from the air between East Portal and the yard.
Never mind the lens flare...next time I'll take the filter off.
Apologies but it has taken me years to capture a series of Redwings and Fieldfares and I think photos like this are too good not to post. On the rare occasions I have managed to photograph them eating berries the shots have all been cluttered. But this one perched obligingly on an isolated sprig of berried Holly, in good light, with a clear blue sky behind. I think the reason that Fieldfares are so difficult to photograph is because they are always in flocks, and a flock is only as brave as the timidest individual. So if one bird flies off alarm-calling, it usually takes the whole flock with it. But this Holly tree was in quite a busy road through my village and they seemed to have got used to people walking past (the pavement is on the other side of the road), so it enabled me to take lots of close photos, until the berries ran out. And this was taken, hand held while I was stood in the open near the Holly tree.
- Apologies for yet another image of Clevedon. This was taken last Thursday which had a rather colourful sunset. I had originally setup at the waterline, but upon noticing the sky behind the pier glowing an nice orange colour; I relocated to the slipway where I watched the colours intensify as the sunset progressed.
Clevedon Pier stretches gracefully 850 ft into the Bristol Channel and opened on Easter Monday 1869.
At present, Clevedon pier is the only structurally intact Grade 1 listed pier in the whole of the country.
