Apologies it is all owls at the moment, this is turning into a bit of a Winter obsession as usual!
I will try and get out and about later in the week and attempt to photograph something different.

Apologies for the picture quality but the weather was rapidly deteriorating - light was fading fast with clouds surrounding me.
When exploring the area surrounding the Crimpiau, the nearby higher Snowdonia peaks were all covered by low cloud. Even at this level, cloud and rain were returning - so I soon had to make a quick and safe exit to lower ground.
One mile further distant, from the previous stream image posted earlier, I'd reached the head of Nat y Geuallt, in better weather, which is a narrow pass dropping down to Llyn Crafnant - pictured below. There's also a left fork path that climbs steadily up the Crimpiau's Eastern flank until reaching the summit 475m (1,558ft) - from which this view of Llyn Crafnant was taken.
It's three quarter's of a mile long and lies in a beautiful valley where the Northern edge of the Gwdir Forest meets the lower slopes of the Carneddau mountains.
It's certainly a stunning view despite the adverse weather. I will definitely return!

Apologies for the larger number of uploads today but I'm having some technical problems with flickr and need to try a few different things and take screen shots for the techs to do their trouble shooting.

To the viewer, a statement of fact: I can not keep up. And it is downright silly that I have been beating myself up over it, not to mention a little vain of me to think that anyone really cares. After much thought, I have come to the conclusion that I owe it to myself, as well as to you, to no longer even maintain the pretense of trying to keep up. It is a "real life" necessity... I need to spend less time on Flickr. At best, commenting will be hit and miss. I sincerely hope that you won't take it personallly. In the approximate two years that I've been on Flickr, I've grown quite fond of some of you. Just know that even though I might not be on your stream very often, you will always be in my heart.

Sibling juvenile owls warm themselves in the sun after a cool spring night, awaiting a meal delivered to them by one of their dutiful parents. These two were already flying from branch to branch, but still had their baby fuzz.

Apologies for lack of comments and posts recently - just back from 3 weeks in the Lakes and just had to have another crack at this classic, magical location. Become a bit of a cliche this shot but I still enjoy everyone's different take on it. Amazed to see how quiet the Lakes are this year - must be the weather? Not even a queue of toggers at this jetty this time!

This lovely stag lords it over a small herd in my favourite Scottish glen.
Not yet as big as the four monster stags further down the glen, but who knows he could soon be the new master of the glen.

Apologies for my short absence, have had a busy weekend getting out enjoying the weather and my birthday. Hope you've had a great weekend too :).
Apologies for the 'same ole' type of shots but thought it wold be worth posting another version of the Herringfleet Pump following my outing yesterday morning. I failed to profile the lens with the colour checker passport, so this has the 'Camera Landscape' profile setting applied from ACR. Image has had minimal PP treatment other than CA removal, black point setting using levels, slight lifting of shadows to remove the grad line and High Pass sharpening in PS. Lee 0.9 HE grad used.

Apologies for not being that active on Flickr. The lockdown is really killing my inspiration. This is a shot from a trp to New Zealand in 2017 and to say the least I wouldn't mind being on that fjord right now.
Apologies for horrible lighting! I had to take down the whole woodland scene on the top shelf because there were a few moths on a piece of bark that had unfortunatly gotten to a few doll's wigs. For now I am turning it into a stage I just have to redo the curtains because they are very uneven and aren't to scale. Other news- there may be someone new joining the elves this Christmas :)
Definitely no apologies for another kitten picture. It is now called Kobalt. Chosen by default.
After another two weeks of socializing the four kittens will go to Animal Humane where they will be spayed/neutered and re-homed.
Apologies for posting valesinas yet again, but this is now the third completely different place I've seen this rare form in as many weeks which must be some kind of record! Also I saw two different individuals today - one very fresh, and this one which is somewhat less so.
