Hoy es la noche de amateurs y en la cara de todos (público y amateurs) se nota el deseo de una revelación: por parte de los espectadores de ver una actuación que va a tocar las fibras más profundas de su ser; por parte de los amateurs el dar una presentación que se gane el reconocimiento de los primeros... Y es que en este famoso lugar todos, de una manera u otra, buscan la felicidad.

As my morning coffee brewed, I slipped on my shoes and jacket, grabbed the Nikon, and headed out the door to see what the moon was looking like.
I'm no astronomer, but as near as I can tell, X marks the approximate spot where the Apollo 12 Lunar Landing Module set down on November 19, 1969. The landing area is known as Oceanus Procellarum, or the "Ocean of Storms". And it seems the flag that was set that day is still standing today, just short of 55 years later.
I just found that interesting.
Image was cropped only, as well as adding the flag and text in post processing. No other editing to the image was done.

Original photo is by NASA and is found online at Lunar Atlas site of the Lunar and Planetary Institute, Houston Texas. Their description provided of sample 65326 is as follows:
Moderately coherent cataclastic anorthosite; has a "bronze colored" streak.
I enhanced the original poor quality photo to bring out the details of the specimen. the bronze streak is same as in my specimens.

Apollo 16 (April 16 – 27, 1972) was the tenth crewed mission in the United States Apollo space program, administered by NASA, and the fifth and next-to-last to land on the Moon. It was the second of Apollo's "J missions", with an extended stay on the lunar surface, a focus on science, and the use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV).
The mission was crewed by Commander John Young, Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke and Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly. Launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on April 16, 1972, Apollo 16 experienced a number of minor glitches en route to the Moon. These culminated with a problem with the spaceship's main engine that resulted in a six-hour delay in the Moon landing as NASA managers contemplated having the astronauts abort the mission and return to Earth, before deciding the problem could be overcome. Although they permitted the lunar landing, NASA had the astronauts return from the mission one day earlier than planned.

In the brass cast there is a stainless steel ball with a borehole that can turn asside in a filling bush, allowing or preventing the flow of the substances in the tube. The valve, in order to avoid burns the arm was fitted with plastic coating.
Apollo is half Border Collie, half Corgi. He's just over a year old.
