Apollo was NASA's third manned space program, landing humans safely on the moon from 1969 to 1972. The Apollo program set several firsts including sending the first humans beyond low earth orbit, the first humans to orbit the moon, and the first humans to land on the moon.

It is suitable for the intonation of long, medium, short and ultra short wave radio broadcasts and works from 230 V line power. The device is surrounded by wooden reveal, the internal structural elements are made of metal, the backing is made of wall-board while the front range is made of aluminium and glass. The apparate is suitable for broadcasts of stereo surround. The intonation frequency can be read with the help of a linear radio index moved by a stringscale mechanic.

Apollon et Marsyas (Apollo and Marsyas), 1637

In Greek mythology, the satyr Marsyas was skinned alive as punishment for having dared to challenge Apollo to a music contest. This piece from the artist's mature period shows a shift in his style towards a brighter painting, executed with swift brushstrokes in refined colours, like the flowing pink mantle of the young god.

Built over the Louvre fortress (itself founded by Philip II in 1190), the Louvre Palace was the chief residence of French kings from 1546, under Francis I until 1682, when Louis XIV moved to Versailles. Although Louis moved the household, the royal collection remained in the palace and in 1692 it was joined by the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres and the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, remaining there for 100 years. The palace became a museum following the French Revolution, at the instruction of the National Assembly, and the Musee du Louvre opened 10 August 1793.
