These Apaches were doing CQs on the BHR (RIP) while we were off the coast in Korea. Some would perform the slide to the right and land with surprising ease. Some were very unhappy with having to land on a big metal slab moving at sea. I'm sure they were much happier when they were able to put down on the non-moving land.

Basket, about 1900, of willow and woody plants, by an unknown artist
of the Apache culture in Arizona.
Baskets of this larage size were normally only woven for wealthy art collectors
outside the community. It took highly skilled weavers to manage the geometric
patterns and designs on such a large basket, which required many months to
complete and likely brought a very high price.

This one is an orange view, actually taken about 10 minutes after the next photo in my stream. I picked these two sunrise photos to upload as they were the most clear. if you like this one, you may enjoy seeing the really vivid sunrise image taken just 10 minutes or so later into the sunrise. My favorite one is here.
One of the early sunrise photos, about 7 am at Apache Junction, Arizona. I used the vivid mode on my camera, but other than a crop, this is the original shot.
Images from a photo stroll on Sunday December 10, out east of Torilla Flat, Arizona. Part of the set I am building for this collection, this is one of many images from a perfect day for photos.

Pair of British Army WAH64D Apache attack helicopters sit and wait to be fuelled and serviced at the Forward Arming and Refuelling Point (FARP) on Salisbury Plain on a Pre-deployment exercise. The Apache is a key capability to the British Army providing close support to forces on the ground, as well as a pair of eyes in the sky keeping an over watch on the surrounding terrain .
