Hello amazing Flickr people!!
Today is a yellow day at Color My World Daily Group and the theme at *ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ Group is : in equilibrium. So it is a yellow in equilibrium day !
And since eggs are part of my in equilibrium diet, (which I’m obviously not following very well since I gained 16 pounds since the beginning of the lockdown), I decided to do another egg picture.
Of course with my weight gain, standing in equilibrium on one feet, is getting harder and harder. I feel almost like the egg in my picture. Do you think it is all that gin & tonic ?? Is it possible that something so good could make you sooo fat ??? I don’t believe it…
Then maybe my polish sausage , kabanos ? Or the Nutella , I’m eating when my children are sleeping… Or the chocolate … but it was 90% cacao… Well honestly, I have to do something about it because I cannot buy bigger clothes right now. And that is another thing, going to stores makes me totally anxious… and they are talking about opening few stores shortly in Montreal. People, I was a shopaholic before all this ! Shopping was my sport. Of course, I can buy online but it is not the same. I will eventually buy something if I have to…
All this in equilibrium theme made me think that I need to adjust a few things to get back the balance in my life.
So who is with me ? Lets go jogging ! But first, coffee and video meeting !
See you later !
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! Stay safe and healthy!! And enjoy your day!!!

ONLY 100 LINDENS on Anxious Event!
(© 2009 Príamo Melo) It's 4:50 a.m. last Sunday at Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. Most of the city is still sleeping while I am walking through dark streets towards an empty beach, at least for this time of the day. The rock pier above grabbed my attention the afternoon before, and I got immediately anxious to check it out at dawn. The conditions were great and I had time to experiment as the light was getting proper. I processed a few other shots, but this one expresses more closely the feeling of peace and tranquility I had the opportunity to experience. This is a classic composition for piers, but my first one. Stay tuned for some other sunset shots I'll post, as they convey a completely different mood for this scene. (This shot was taken at 5:24 a.m., about 30 minutes before sunrise).
After posting my peferred scene of the night shooting with Eugene Louie, it is time to publish the scene I shot on his suggestion. I am glad that he convinced me to try this place instead of shooting another arch under the Milk Way.
This is the watch tower of the Manzanar War Relocation Center. Manzanar is the site of one of ten American concentration camps where over 110,000 Japanese Americans were interned during World War II from December 1942 to 1945.
Although historically totally unrelated, this place immediately reminded me of the text of a well known song in Switzerland, called "Beresinalied". The Berezina song became a symbol of the sacrifices of Swiss mercenaries in foreign service under Napoleon Bonaparte during the Russia invasion. They sang the song during the Battle of Berezina on 28 November 1812, where of 8000 men only 300 survived.
Here is the English translation of the German text:
Our life is like a journey
Of a wanderer through the night;
Everybody carries something on his way
That causes him to grieve.
But then unexpectedly do fade
Night and darkness before us,
And the sorely troubled find
Solace in their sorrow.
Fearless, fearless, dear brothers,
Abandon the anxious worries;
Tomorrow the sun will rise again
Friendly in the sky.
Therefore let us move on;
Do not retreat disheartenedly!
Beyond those far heights
A new happiness awaits us.

I made two dozen Rugelach totally from scratch today. I don't use boxed mixes; they have too much salt, sugar, toxic chemicals, and some even have GMO's, scary! These are now frozen, and we will eat them on the weekend when Chanukkah starts. I am anxious to light the menorah. It is such a beautiful tradition.
Winter snows accent the scene at Horseshoe Bend in Marble Canyon, with sunset light reflecting in the Colorado River almost one thousand feet below, near Page, Arizona.
The title here suggests why I chose this perspective rather than the traditional leaning the camera over the edge view showing the entire bending of the river below in the foreground. I had been to Horseshoe Bend before some years ago in dry, uncrowded conditions, and I had crouched and leaned over the edge only to realize that, at that time, I did not have a wide enough lens for the scene. In the passing years, however, I have noticed an increasing concern when right at the edge of cliffs without any rail. And this time, with snow and ice all along the canyon rim, and seeing several tourists slipping and falling (thankfully without serious incident) as they walked on the slickrock a little ways back from the ledge, I found myself even more strongly wanting a composition that could be taken just a little further back form the precipice than the usual shot requires.
So this is it. I tried to position a couple of the snow covered outcrops to be something of leading lines in to the frame, but I readily admit that choosing this comp wasn’t about doing cutting edge work—it was about keeping a little icy remove between me and that edge!.
This is another image from the past week’s photography trip to the southwest with good friends Josh Krasner and Sky Matthews. Thanks again for viewing!

I heard the song A Soft Place To Land by Kathleen Edwards probably back in January. I never heard it again but it stuck in my head and immediately this image came to mind. It took awhile to actually shoot it. When I did I felt this huge weight had been lifted off me. My art makes me anxious, crazy, elated and all the emotions in between but I have no choice but to do it.
Italien / Belluno - Lago di Misurina
Lake Misurina (Italian: Lago di Misurina; Cadorino dialect: Lago de Meśorìna) is the largest natural lake of the Cadore and it is 1,754 m above sea level, near Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The lake's perimeter is 2.6 km long, while the maximum depth is 5 m.
Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for around 500 people.
The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake make particularly good air for those who have respiratory diseases. Near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma.
The lake was the theme of a famous song by Claudio Baglioni. Lake Misurina is also the theme of the theatrical representation of the Longane di Lozzo.
Lake Misurina is where the speed skating events were held during the 1956 Winter Olympics of Cortina d'Ampezzo – the last time Olympic speed skating events were held on natural ice.
Misurina lies on the route of the Dolomites Gold Cup Race.
Folklore
There are at least two different legends associated with Lake Misurina. In the first one, which was also made famous by a song named "Sabato pomeriggio" by Claudio Baglioni, Misurina is a little capricious and spiteful girl who lives literally held in the palm of the hand of her gigantic father, the king Sorapiss that, to fulfill another desire and obtain for her the magic mirror from the Queen of Monte Cristallo, he is transformed into a mountain. During the last stages of the transformation he sees his daughter fall and his tears flow like rivers and form the lake beneath which his daughter will forever live with the magic mirror.
In the second one, Mesurina (who is later nicknamed) is a daughter of wealthy merchants from Venice who send her away in the mountains by her father anxious not to fulfill a prophecy that would see the girl give away all their possessions. Following some tragic amorous events vaguely reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, the girl dies, and she is recognized on the point of death by a lover whom she met in bloom and from whom she was brought away by deception from the stables of his father and a servant sent by him.

Chopper looked to Craig for relief from the torture, but Craig was too busy responding to all of your comments.
He was looking anxiously at something - probably a horse, given that this was taken at Maam Cross horse fair in Connemara

There's still snow on the ground and contrary to yesterday's warmth and sunshine, today is gray and has snow falling once again.
Madeleine is obviously not a fan of the snow, I'm pretty sure she was internally stomping her feet and screaming at Mother Nature.
Can't really blame her, can you?
Spring is being very slow about coming around this year and I'm pretty sure we're all anxious for lawn chairs and shorts.
Come on Mother Nature, we're all tired of complaining about the snow... let us start complaining about the heat for a change!
Hope everyone has had a good day.
