...It's mating season and this younger Bison onlooks and ponders whether to charge another bull for dominance.
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and we have a yellow picture… I put this leaf between the pages of an old book during last fall and I found it just in time for a yellow day ! Isn’t that awesome ? It is a little melancholic and nostalgic picture… My work from home is getting to an end …Starting next week I will work from home one day and two days at office so it isn’t the end of the world … But still… I’m not looking forward and I feel very anxious thinking about putting some « office » clothes on… Also, our renovation project starts exactly on the same day as my « go back to office » project… And since I’m very reluctant to any changes in my life, this is super hard for me to envision… I will try to post daily on Flickr but I’m not sure if I will be able to do that… So don’t be mad if I disappear for from time to time… I will try to catch up as soon as possible…
Have a beautiful day ! Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!
Chilling on the fly with my beautiful friend, Prettyflower. She is amazing, and we have been friends for at least a million years. I’m always anxious about messing up photos with friends because they are obviously the ones that actually mean an awful lot, but you know, I smile every time I see friendship captures. I love them! Pretty is a magical girl, a Fae Goddess, always up for an adventure, and a heartfelt chatter about things serious, and not! We gossip about boys, squealszz over cute puppies and unicorns, and drink wine regardless of whether it’s day or night! We call it combined human/Fae time, and I’ll say cheers to that! Pretty, you are without a doubt a sparkling gem in the crown of true friendship. 💕🌸 👑
RKO_3282. The same Northern Goshawk as in the previous images but in this image she is protecting the prey! I left the wasp in the image as it (in my humble opinion) adds something to the photo! Despite the difficult light conditions, I am happy with the result! Enjoy!

"I'm not a coffee addict ... just a little over attached to it."

The ultimate dream? ;-))))
Update: This mural is from the cartoon 'Too Much Coffee Man"
Information-WiKi:
"""Too Much Coffee Man (TMCM) is an American satirical superhero created by cartoonist Shannon Wheeler. Too Much Coffee Man wears what appears to be a spandex version of old-fashioned red "long johns" with a large mug attached atop his head. He is an anxious Everyman who broods about the state of the world, from politics to people, exchanging thoughts with friends and readers.
The strip is most often presented as a single page in alternative press newspapers, though occasionally the story arc stretches into multi-page stories. TMCM has appeared in comic strips, minicomics, webcomics, comic books, magazines, books, and operas. The Too Much Coffee Man comic book won the 1995 Eisner Award for Best New Series."""

Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark
www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Rdboj5roM
I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark
Fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
LITTLE FREDDY:
Is it really you?
Are you my big brother Freddy? www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/
I can not believe it. Someone found me in the woods and left me as a foundling at the door of one Marian.
I'm so scared big brother. There's a dog living in that house and you know I've become very afraid of dogs. Only you know why. What should I do Freddy. I prefer to stay in the box.
The weather hasn't been very inspiring for photography - grey, gloomy, and a damp cold. We're waiting anxiously for colder temperatures and snow to get the snowshoes out. In the mean time, it's just cold enough to get a little bit of ice formation along shorelines and it made some interesting patterns.
My heart belongs in nature, especially when it involves forests, mountains, and bodies of water. A lot of modern life makes me anxious & overwhelmed, particularly when there’s a lot of stimulation- noise, people, movement, bright lights. The natural world rarely makes me feel this way. A simple, quiet life filled with nature is what gives me peace.
Ships to Shore 2017 - Steveston
One of the world’s largest tall ships, the Kaiwo Maru made a special guest appearance to Garry Point Park in Steveston, BC in honour of Canada's 150th anniversary.
Built in 1989, this majestic tall ship sailing from Japan is 361 feet in length and has over 29,000 square feet in sails.
Also known as the 'King of the Sea'.
Kaiwo Maru is a Japanese four-masted training barque tall ship.
She was built in 1989 to replace a 1930 ship of the same name.
The Ships to Shore celebration attracted thousands upon thousands of people, anxious to catch what possibly could be a once in a lifetime glimpse of this magnificent sailing ship.
In the background there were nautical displays, carnival activities, food concessions, fireworks and much more...
As night fell, a live band drew and captivated a large audience of people.....truthfully, none of that seemed to distract myself nor many other dedicated photographers..
I know I couldn't 'steer clear' (so to speak) from this extraordinary ship's side, nor could I afford wasting one precious moment of what night fall was offering.
The dimming sky provided ongoing colour and light photog opportunities that enhanced the magic of this fine lady and her scenic surroundings.
A sight to 'sea'

Hey, guess who finally did some photography travelling after all this time? And hey, guess who managed to make it an absolute disaster like most times? Yes, me. Ugh. Let's just say - being dumped, coming off medication AND traveling whilst generally anxious doesn't make for a great time.

Thankfully there were no trolls hanging around the bridge, so we wandered over to it. Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, there aren't really pavements. Always nice to put yourself in danger for a photograph, eh? I'm probably overstating the danger - I think we saw one or two cars in our hour-long stay. Suffice it to say, I was not run over.

Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend!
I had taken this railroad bridge years earlier (with film) in a very similar fashion and perspective. When we got a foggy day, I was anxious to get a current digital image and compare!
I created this piece during this Corona virus pandemic when we are lock down for quarantine and told to practice social distancing. Yet we are being asked to "stay at home" and "stay calm".
This sketch is based on the photo taken by John.

This is a little flower spike I spotted at the RHS garden at Rosemoor earlier in the year. I just liked the colours of the flowers as they opened - the orange changes to violet. They’re really quite small - the spike is a couple of centimetres across, if that.
I’ve cooked this a little in Nik Viveza and Color Efex and gone for dark and moody after my surfeit of high key (and no motion is evident either - perhaps I’m healing!).
The day after I’d taken this image and about 300 others I managed to wipe my card. Eeek! But after several anxious days I got back home and managed to resurrect the images...
I know you are far too sensible and intelligent ever to wipe your card like that, but ever a friend of yours does then tell them to stop using the card immediately and then use some freely available software to recover the file contents (probably not the original file names). (Be a bit wary of some of the free stuff out there though - there be sharks about…)
Happy Mittwochsmakro :)
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Macro Wednesday!
