De Westerschelde die toegang geeft tot de haven van Antwerpen is voor de scheepvaart een niet gemakkelijk te bevaren route. Ter plaatse goed bekende loodsen helpen de bemanning bij het bevaren van deze zeearm met zijn verraderlijke zandbanken. De loodsboot rechts heeft net de loods opgepikt van de chemicaliën tanker "Nordic Inge"
The Western Scheldt, which gives access to the port of Antwerp, is not an easy route for shipping. Well-known pilots on site help the crew navigate this estuary with its treacherous sandbanks. The pilot boat on the right just picked up the pilot from the chemical tanker "Nordic Inge"
Die Westerschelde, die den Zugang zum Hafen von Antwerpen ermöglicht, ist keine einfache Schifffahrtsroute. Vor Ort gut bekannte Lotsen helfen der Besatzung bei der Navigation durch diese Mündung mit ihren tückischen Sandbänken. Das Lotsenboot rechts hat den Lots gerade vom Chemietanker "Nordic Inge" abgeholt.
L'Escaut occidental, qui donne accès au port d'Anvers, n'est pas une voie de navigation facile. Des pilotes bien connus sur place aident l'équipage à naviguer dans cet estuaire avec ses bancs de sable dangereux. Le bateau pilote sur la droite vient de prendre le pilote du pétrolier "Nordic Inge"
El Escalda Occidental, que da acceso al puerto de Amberes, no es una ruta de navegación fácil. Conocidos pilotos en el lugar ayudan a la tripulación a navegar por este estuario con sus peligrosos bancos de arena. El barco piloto a la derecha acaba de llevar al piloto del petrolero "Nordic Inge"
Lo Schelda occidentale, che dà accesso al porto di Anversa, non è un percorso di navigazione facile. Famosi piloti sul posto aiutano l'equipaggio a navigare in questo estuario con i suoi pericolosi banchi di sabbia. La barca pilota a destra ha appena preso il pilota dell'autocisterna "Nordic Inge"
O Escalda ocidentale, que dá acesso ao porto de Antuérpia, não é uma rota de navegação fácil. Pilotos conhecidos no local ajudam a tripulação a navegar neste estuário com seus perigosos bancos de areia. O barco-piloto à direita acaba de pegar o piloto do navio-tanque "Nordic Inge"

De Brabofontein is een fontein in de Belgische stad Antwerpen. Op de fontein bevindt zich een bronzen standbeeld van Silvius Brabo van de beeldhouwer Jef Lambeaux daterend uit 1887. De Brabofontein bevindt zich voor het Antwerpse stadhuis op de Grote Markt.
Silvius Brabo is een Brabants folklorefiguur. Hij zou volgens de sage een Romeinse soldaat zijn geweest die de reus Druon Antigoon doodde, zijn hand afhakte en in de Schelde wierp. Hij is uitgegroeid tot het officiële symbool van de stad Antwerpen
De legende van Brabo gaat over de reus Druon Antigoon, die de hand van onwillige tolbetalers afhakte en deze in de Schelde wierp. Brabo doodde echter de reus en hakte op zijn beurt diens eigen hand af, welke hij in de rivier gooide. Antwerpen zou volgens deze uitleg van Hand werpen komen. Het beeld is echter dusdanig gepositioneerd dat Brabo de hand richting stad lijkt te smijten. Dat kent zijn oorzaak in de beperkte afstand tussen het stadhuis en het beeld. Mocht men Brabo richting Schelde positioneren zou het lijken alsof Brabo de hand in het stadhuis wil gooien

High up against the ceiling of one of the galleries of the KMSKA is a spinning hand. It looks a bit scary, especially when its fingers are pointed downwards and it seems to want to grab the unsuspecting visitor.
Hoog boven tegen de zoldering van één van de galerijen van het KMSKA bevindt zich een draaiende hand. Ze oogt wat angstaanjagend vooral wanneer de vingers omlaag zijn gericht en ze de niets vermoedende bezoeker lijkt te willen grijpen.
Tout en haut du plafond d’une des galeries du KMSKA se trouve une main rotative. Elle a l'air un peu effrayante, surtout lorsque ses doigts sont pointés vers le bas et qu'elle semble vouloir attraper le visiteur sans méfiance.
In alto, sul soffitto di una delle gallerie del KMSKA, c'è una mano che gira. Sembra un po' spaventosa, soprattutto quando le sue dita sono puntate verso il basso e sembra voler afferrare l'ignaro visitatore.
The Port Authority Building (Dutch: Havenhuis), or the Port House, is a government building located in Antwerp, Belgium, built between 2009 and 2016. It is located near the area of Eilandje, in the Port of Antwerp, and acts as the new headquarters of the Antwerp Port Authority, housing various departments. Designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, the building opened in 2016, the year of her death.

Station Antwerpen-Centraal (door de Antwerpenaren ook wel het Centraal Station, de Middenstatie of de Spoorwegkathedraal genoemd, in het spoorwegjargon ook ingekort tot Antwerpen-Centraal) is het centraal station aan het Koningin Astridplein in Antwerpen. Van 1873 tot begin 2007 was het een kopstation, een station waar alle treinen moesten keren. Op 23 maart 2007 werd een tunnel met twee doorgaande sporen onder het station en een deel van de stad Antwerpen geopend.

Antwerp Central Station (by the people of Antwerp also called the Central Station, the Central Railway or Statie Cathedral, in the railway jargon shortened to Antwerp Central) is the main station at the Queen Astrid Square in Antwerp. From 1873 to early 2007 was a terminal station, a station where all trains had to reverse. On March 23, 2007 opened a tunnel with two through tracks under the station and part of the city of Antwerp.

De Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal is een kathedraal in de Belgische stad Antwerpen. De kathedraal staat aan de Handschoenmarkt en is de hoofdkerk van het bisdom Antwerpen. Ze is gewijd aan Maria. De kerk was een kathedraal tussen 1559 en 1803 en vanaf 1961 tot heden. De toren van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal is als onderdeel van een groep van 56 belforten in België en Frankrijk opgenomen op de lijst van werelderfgoed van UNESCO.
Deze toren is een voorbeeld van flamboyante gotiek, en is opgetrokken in witte zandsteen uit Dilbeekse steengroeven. Aan de toren werd jaren gebouwd en hij werd in 1518 voltooid. In de 18de eeuw is hij voor het eerst gerestaureerd. De restauratiewerken in de 19de eeuw werden geleid door Frans Andries Durlet.

The church was a cathedral between 1559 and 1803 and from 1961 to the present. The tower of the Cathedral of Our Lady as part of a group of 56 belfries in Belgium and France on the list of UNESCO.
This tower is an example of flamboyant Gothic, and is built in white sandstone from quarries Dilbeek. years was built the tower and was completed in 1518. In the 18th century it was restored for the first time. The restoration works were led by Frans Andries Durlet in the 19th century.
