For those who like geometric forms. The bridge railing points directly to the crest of the first falls at Corbett's Glen. I don't know why I never took this shot before. It's kind of interesting. Allen's Creek makes and abrupt left turn as it goes under the bridge.
After my trip to the Arctic, where I never did get to see the aurora, this was a very rewarding event. In spite of the hordes of black flies which might as well have eaten me alive, I was truly happy with what I had documented, all in the window of just half an hour!

One of the several new agates I found in the Doebbler caliche pits on March 9, 2008. It has anglular shapes which may indicate it formed between crystals or brecciated rock, such as limestone.
I'll admit that I'm a total sucker for patterns, sigils, and glyphs. I love how the gobos (lighted stencils on the lights) overlap with one another and the table illuminated in the ceter of the patterns. Nicely done, Universal!
Replacing the angular 155 saloon, the 156 Berlina was introduced in 1997 with a softer and more rounded design. It is a very attractive car, and was also available as an estate (Sportwagon). Petrol and diesel engines were available, as well as a GTA high performance model. It was updated in 2003 to keep the car fresh until the 159 replaced it in 2005 (though the 156 was available in some markets until 2007).

A Tri-colored Heron gives me every opportunity to get a decent shot as he hunts on Horsepen Bayou.
This particular heron gave me every opportunity to take photos as he ran here and there trying to catch some fish. He was very difficult to track as he moved so quickly at times. Hope you'll don't get bored with all of the shots.

If the angular, Piranesian spatial concept here seems more in tune with Himmelb(l)au's older projects, that's understandable: this building won its competition way back in 1992, but was on some sort of hiatus from 1995 forward, only to be resumed in 2002. So it's a bit of a throwback for the office, but whatever, it's always fun to be on a funny-angled ramp cutting through space. This experential sense of liberation, I think, charts a more promising course than the idea of representing liberation through the janky, broken-box massing of the building. We'll return to this theme shortly at BMW...

Curiously angular house (the rooms must be very oddly shaped, and difficult to furnish efficiently) on the corner of Gainsborough's Cromwell Street. The reason for the curious shape is that the railway line (built before the street) crosses here at an oblique angle. There are a number of such houses whose corners are not right angles along this section of the railway line.
