For the Macro Mondays theme: Reflection
(small amuse spoon within 3' rule)
Thank you for your time, faves and comments, it's much appreciated. Happy Macro Mondays
This pair of highland cattle were just too good to pass up, especially the one doing an impression of someone out of ZZ Top! It's safe to say however that this was a "cow" to process :-)
It's good as an artist to always remember to see things in a new, weird way. Tim Burton

per Wiki: An amuse-bouche or amuse-gueule (UK: /əˌmuːzˈɡɜːl/, US: /-ˈɡʌl/; French: [a.myz.ɡœl]) is a single, bite-sized hors d'œuvre. Amuse-bouches are different from appetizers in that they are not ordered from a menu by patrons but are served free and according to the chef's selection alone. ; )
You can point your camera at just about anyone in NYC and not get a second glance. But in Chinatown, things are different. This man was NOT amused.
One of my contacts suggested that if I'd asked for a photo, he probably wouldn't have minded. That might be true. I do know that I have felt somewhat guilty about this one. He appears to be an unwilling subject to me....and of course he has a right to be annoyed. Beautiful Saturday. Nice spot on a nice bench Then some tourist comes in and invades his privacy. Frankly, I'd gotten too bold. (Imagine that!) The rest of NYC and Richmond, for that matter, seemed to either not mind me taking their photo, or actually press closer or smile wider. I have thought about this phenomenon and wondered if it it just a result of reality television. 15 seconds of fame? I don't know. I did feel guilty about this shot, but not so guilty that I didn't post it. I took one more photo in Chinatown, and that was by permission only.
****We passed through Little Italy first. Men in suits were sitting at a table on a sidewalk. One man had an ear bandage. I'm sorry. All I could think of was Mafia. I raised my camera to take a picture and one of the men made a motion toward me, so I put it back down. Clever of me, wasn't it?
