By local Auburn dentist, Kenneth H. Fox. He sculpted many large concrete statues like this throughout the town of Auburn, California. The nakedness of some have created controversy (like Prometheus), while others are an ode to the gold-mining era.
This particular statue is outside his dental office at 391 Auburn Ravine Road, along with a group of others.

My second piranha catch and Bert is now losing 2 catches to 1. in the Amazon Rainforest on the Rio Negro.
I originally had this doll ordered from Bentzen's Emporium in December, but this one along with three others never came. They still have my parent's money. And I'm still pissed as hell that nothing has been done about it.
That meant that I had to take my Project Mc2 search somewhere else. It's been very, very difficult to find the four I need to finish my collection, but at least I've got one less doll to worry about now. Amazon got in some of the Wave 4 McKeyla, so I ordered her pretty much right off the bat. They had Ember too but I already have her Wave 4 version. I'm looking for Bryden and Adrienne from the formal line, and the lilac-haired McKeyla from Wave 2. Preferably at a non-extortionate price.
She arrived today (Prime shipping for the win) and I'm glad that I finally have her.
(P.S. I also ordered something else from Amazon. I'll wait until I get it before I say what it is, but it's coming from Canada and should be with me by the end of the month...)
