I'm not really sure what Amazon is trying to tell me with this. It showed up after a order that only had hellblazer comics in it. and a led flashlight. and a poster of the Great Wave.

If you go to the purchase page and see that it says Price after rebate: $157.80, you'd think that when you went to apply for the rebate it would be valid.

Not on 8/27/10 according to the pop out menu on Amazon.com.

Rebate:

Order by 7/31/10

But it really is still active:

When you go to the ASUS website and download the rebate form, it's still valid for August.

Floating homes along the riverbanks of the Amazon Rainforest on the Rio Negro .

My 1968 Volvo Amazon Estate has the later B20 engine with overdrive, a lightened crank, fuelie head with Volvo race part valves (possibly sodium filled), steel timing gears, performance cam and followers, down draught Weber on a Pierce inlet manifold, IPD front anti-roll bar and a performance exhaust system and bilsteins shocks all round.

The car was originally Dark Green with a tan interior.

The previous owner owned the car for 17 years…it was his work horse, before that it was previously owned by Lt. Commander Robert Sloane (N.A.T.O.) stationed at Ruislip, the vehicle was purchased by him in California and last registered in Maryland. He brought the car with him when he was posted to the UK.

Under the Santos administration, the Colombian government has vastly expanded protected areas, creating new national parks and indigenous and Afro-Colombian reserves in broad swathes of the Amazon and other parts of the country. In July, the government expanded two indigenous reserves in Caquetá connecting protected areas to establish one of the largest conservation corridors in the Amazon with 10 million hectares of protected land. Under the Paris Climate Agreement Colombia pledged to achieve zero net deforestation in the Amazon by 2020. However, national parks and indigenous and Afro Colombian lands continue to be threatened by illegal occupation, coca cultivation and illegal gold mining. In addition, many environmentally sensitive areas lack protected status, and deforestation has increased due mainly to cattle ranching and agricultural expansion.

The Inter-American Dialogue, in partnership with the Andes Amazon Fund, is pleased to host a panel discussion on conservation and indigenous and Afro-Colombian land rights featuring Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development Luis Gilberto Murillo.

This was once Amazon rain forest. The area now looks more like the Great Plains of the US. Most of the land is detimbered for farming and live stock grazing. People gotta eat right? Obviously there have been many environmental and habitat changes due to the massive deforestation. There are programs in the area to help regrow the rainforest through seed banks, and an effort to make land/habitat conservation a source of monetary revenue.

Amazon 亞馬遜限定 mini 阿愣 Danboard

This was my 1969 Volvo Amazon 123 GT

- VIN 308145

- Engine number 23373.

I bought this original car from a guy in Southampton, I kept it for a few years before selling to Duncan Ross who lived in Scotland.

A year or two later I saw the car advertised again as Duncan was moving to the South of France...we stayed in contact and I bought it and drove from Scotland back to London. I kept it until I moved to Switzerland a few years later and sold the car to a guy that wanted to do some classic racing I can't remember his name but I remember dealing with his daughter who's name was Paula Marland.

I wish I still had that car!
