One thing you don't have to ever worry about on a cruise is starving. There are always plenty of dining venues included in the price as well as several pay extra places such as Rudi's Sel De Mer:

Rudi’s Sel de Mer is an intimate brasserie featuring classic French dishes reimagined with contemporary flair. Menu selections include whole Dover sole meunière with shaved pink Himalayan sea salt, oysters on the half shell, fruits de mer, and salt-crust baked branzino, as well as favorites such as steak frites, duck cassoulet and coq au vin.

They DO NOT serve breakfast at Rudi's Sel De Mer but we were able to wrangle it!

Because of Niccy's ever watchful eye we were able to get into Club Orange on this cruise. Club Orange is a way to experience a new level of luxury, from priority check-in and disembarkation to premium dining amenities. Club Orange benefits include a complimentary stateroom upgrade, a special event chosen by the captain and priority check-in and disembarkation. I don't ask her how she got us in but it was definitely nice.

Anyhow, we went down the the Club Orange Dining Room for breakfast one morning to find it was chock a block full. The hostess (Ross) asked if we would like to have a table down at Rudi's since it was an overflow for Club Orange. We said sure and that's how we had breakfast at Rudi's!

Funny part was seeing people walking by and staring, probably wondering how we got in there for breakfast.

Just a note, we definitely didn't eat Dinner here, we're both too fiscally conservative!

Gas Station On The Roadway by A Guy Named Nyal

Not something I'd normally photograph but this one was different.

This gas station is sitting by the side of the road in a little carved out niche. No convenience store, no parking lot, just gas. Pull off to the right and fill up, not something I've ever seen here in the US. My European viewers might see this as an everyday thing but to this proud Texan it was definitely a novelty!

This was shot in (M)anual with a little cloning to remove some bird guano (you're welcome Repsol) from the facade and a small crop to remove some bits and bobs.

This is a real photograph taken with a real camera, and not created by AI.

Something most people experience when they go to buy a new car, not usually associated with chips/crisps!

9.75 for a bag of Lays BBQ chips? OK, I know we were on an island and they have to import things like this but still, 9.75??? That's some serious markup, at least on a first glance!

We were in Bequia and came across a market that just happened to have Lays BBQ chips (my favorite US crisp but far behind Walker's Tomato Ketchup and my all time favorite Walker's Roast Chicken crisps, both of which are unavailable in US stores due to Americans having no sense of adventure) and something in my brain said I must have some so I bought them.

It's really not that bad after the conversion from East Caribbean Dollars to US Dollars since at the time the ECD was at 36 cents to the US dollar. It wound up being about $3.50 US or so, actually cheaper than we find here in the US if they're not on sale.

Funny side note:

I made a tour guide on this trip a little mad but I did it unintentionally. He said that the most popular currency in the Caribbean islands was the EC Dollar and I commented that it might be accepted most places but certainly not the most popular. He asked what I thought the most popular was and I replied the US dollar. I then said there were islands in the Caribbean that won't accept the EC Dollar (or the Pound Sterling) but they'll all take the US dollar. He didn't agree with me at all and that's alright. He certainly did accept my USD gratuity though!

Anyhow, I know this is a shit shot, something I grabbed in the spur of the moment. Sure, I could have taken some time with this like Richard Harvey UK, Jim Frazier, and toddkeith533, all of whom produce some fantastic still life photos but I was too busy having fun!

PS:

For those in the Show Your EXIF group you should note that the actual lens used is a Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II VC All-in-One Zoom for Canon APS-C Digital SLR. For some crazy reason it always shows up as a Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8, a lens I\'ve never owned or used!

Denz was busy restoring one of the Hewlett-Packard Model 85 portable computers in the Computermuseum Arnhem hardware collection.

This unit's tape drive was broken, due to the rubber drive wheel being reduced to a sticky gunk. He used solvent to clean the mess and fashioned a new drive wheel out of silicone hose/tubing.
