"You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility."

Another fun Morning shoot at the Iconic Tipsoo Lake with a few fellow photographers. This awesome lenticular cloud never moved from its spot during the 2 or more hour shoot, however it did change shape every few minutes. I liked this scene the best as the cloud resembled some kind of spaceship. This photo was taken about an hour before sunrise, if you look closely you can still see a few stars in the sky. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for any constructive comments.

Stunning mural of a Xenomorph and Ridley Scott by Abraham 01 for the late Halloween Alien Jam in Grey Eagle Street, Shoreditch.
Banksy' 'Pink Car' is on the other side of this wall a little further up the road.
This fantastic life-size Alien sculpture is made entirely out of scrap metal. I discovered it on a walk through Grub, Appenzell Ausserrhoden.
A really cool cloud formation seen on the way to Galveston this morning. Kinda looks like an alien spaceship coming in for a landing

A nutmeg grater lit from inside. Makes me think of the eggs in the Alien films, especially with the little bits of nutmeg stuck on the outside.

This attraction has been gone for years. I only got to see it once. I remember it as being quite scary!
Looks like an alien with a friendly face, but it is the same drop I uploaded yesterday.....but....... a gust of wind turned that drop into this one, I was able to take a last shot before it fell off and disappeared forever.........
"I admire its purity. A survivor ... unclouded by conscience, remorse or delusions of morality."

A glorious sunset at the salt flats, Death Valley Natl Park!
After countless hours of walking lonely across the whole basin, I finally figured out these amazing formations.
Special thanks to my friend Ernie for helping me zero down onto this location. It was one of those glorious sunsets I have witnessed with the sun just peeping out of the clouds for a few minutes before settling for the day. Even more awesome to have the whole place to myself!
In a vast desert you find huge rusting ships embedded into dry sand with no water nearby. The Aral sea is probably among the biggest ecological disasters man has locally created to it's environment.

The name of this amazing sandstone formation in the Ah-shi-sle-pah area is Alien Throne. It is difficult to find as the roads are rough, muddy and confusing and there is no established trail, but well worth the effort to find it. The area is dry and sandy. Infrequent torrential rainfall along with incessant wind sculpts fabulous sandstone formations.
Happy Saturated Saturday!
Turks Turban Squash
I've long wanted to photograph this strange vegetable grown in my garden, which also tastes very nice I may add (the vegetable that is, not the garden ;) ). Today's Smile on Saturday Group's theme Vivid Orange provided a very welcome excuse to do so.
I certainly wouldn't want to meet this on a dark night, or on an alien planet for that matter. It looks as if it might ingest you in the blink of an eye (assuming it has one) while demonstrating appalling table manners. Or worse. (Probably best not to think about that - creativity can have its downsides lol...).
Thank you for taking time to look. Much appreciated. I hope you enjoy the image and sleep well tonight. HSoS :)

My alien world
I feel like an alien sometimes, where I don't feel like I belong anywhere.

I SWEAR I did not see this face when I took this picture of a cotton boll earlier today when I was on an adventure with Kay. Only when I downloaded this did I see what appears to be another alien face. Considering the last photo I posted looked like one too, maybe they really are among us....since I have now seen two does that mean I am????? Check out Kay's photostream for another "alien". www.flickr.com/photos/1stlady/1348581902/in/photostream/
